Just beat this mission. In case you're still wondering, you have pretty much have to fly to maximum altitude with that plane. Don't try to go up all at once, just keep the plane aimed slighty upward and keep it steady. I had to circle around the spot twice to get up to max altitude once I found the corona.

Not officially, and what they have said is not too specific, but there's a general time frame. They're saying it will probably come out quarter 3 of 2005 along with the PC version around that time.

The End of the Line?

yeah thanks, i didnt quite do it like that, i just killed the guards outside before i went in to get the boxes then when more came along i just ran them over with the forklift, but once i acidentally ran over my bredren and mission failed but i got there in the end.

Dudes whats been you best/coolest shoot out with the cops. I'll start it off.

I was just driving about in my fancy super Gt all moded up and stuff and then i hit a cop trying to avoid another car. You know what way it goes when you get a very nice car. You want to keep it that way. Either way i got a wanted rateing of two so i got onto the motorway and off i go. Then i stop about a mile down and kill two cops that were annoying me then drive off with a cop car and three bikes chaseing me and also a helicopter. So of course the nos had to be used. Five minutes later and six small damaging jumps later im half dead and only have a sub machine gun and a pistol either way i hit a jump and it spun me on my side and then hit a wee house thing and i jumped out and hid behind a car. The house had two enterences and one of them was blocked off because of the car. So it was a stand off. I got bored after a minute of cops coming around the corner and me blasting them so i walked out all guns blazing and died. It was fun.

By the way, strangerdanger, when you fail on the final mission you go back to the last "stage" you reached. At the very least, you'll go back to just after you killed Smoke, and at best, you'll start agan by jumping in the car and driving after Tenpenny.

I beat Zero's missions last night.. I didn't think they were too hard. Supply Lines was the hardest, only because of the 4th guy (the guy on the motorcycle with a machine gun). Of course, I had about one tiny little tick of gas left when I slammed the plane back into Zero's roof, so maybe I was lucky.

Oh, and does anyone have any tips for the last test (Jump and Stoppie) for motorcycle school? I've gotten 93%, but either I stop too soon and I'm straight, or I go too far and I'm like facing backwards. :(

I heard that if you try a mission lots of times not reloading after every failure the mission gradually becomes easier. Does anyone know if that's true?

It's three million feet. And I'm only in the beginning of the game as well. I've got a good idea of what to do, but I feel like it's going to take forever. I'm very conservative with my ammo, so I don't shoot enough to get my weapon skills up. I started collecting ammo for that nice submachine gun on top of the orange motel, and then I have to shoot those Russians with a tiny little machine gun pistol!

At least I can slit the throats of my own gang members anytime I need one of their weapons.

Oh, so that's how I do it. Yeah, I got my machine pistol stats up after that gunfight with the Russians, but I'd much rather use that MK5 (I think) that I can find up on the motel roof. And yet, the machine pistol is right behind my house under the aqueduct bridge... I'm at a loss here!

in the big smoke mission where you chase the train, how do you avoid getting hit by another train on the tracks you ride along with your dirt bike? you cant drive inbetween the two trains, there is no gap..

also, how do you climb sky scrapers, i cant seem to be able to do it.

oh and where do you get a parachute from!?

To answer your first question: I just drove in between the two trains. They pushed my bike up in the air and threw it backwards, but I was able to recover and catch back up to the train.

Go ahead of the train for the bike mission. You need to stay a little away from the train anyway so he can hit the guys on the train.. if he's shooting at a sharp angle you won't pass it.

Go to an area and find some gangsters hanging out in a group. Kill them to start a turf war. The survive the next three waves. Turf wars are a bit too easy because once it starts, health and armour pickups appear in the middle of the road.

As to quick money, I have no idea. I'm trying the trucker missions which start at $1000 and then increase, but I'm sure these'll run out.

Do some pimp missions for good cash, the vehicle is an 60's looking car with no roof.

I need to steal the crane helicopter. As I get to the military fuel depot, a humvee comes out, I chase him for ages and he just keeps driving around, so I start banging him up and he explodes.

The question is, how the hell do I get a military vehicle to get through the gates? The Harrier doesn't work either...

Haha, capturing the two neighborhoods in Idlewood took me a few tries because Sweet is a complete idiot. He got hit by a car one time, then another he started jacking a Balla in their car and shooting them while a cop was around so he was gunned down by a cop. As far as I understand, you need 35% control of gang territory before you open the last mission... I wish I could have had this done before the... you know what (Not to spoil anything, as if you can't guess what happens considering this is early 90's LA) happens.

You lose respect for killing your own gang members, and also when they die. I'm not sure if that's separate, or if you lose twice as much when you kill them.

Anyone else found the 10 storey car park in Las Venturas? 2 unique jumps on levels 6 and 9 and a staircase at the top level leading you to a helicopter. Get in the helicopter and fly to the roof of the huge building next to you for a parachute and some more base-jumping action.

Don't go directly to the heli, go to the platform below, get off the jetpack, and shoot everything. Once the game warns you about the helicopters, then get on the gun turret. Also, buy some body armor and nice munitions---always helps.

You lose respect for killing your own gang members, and also when they die. I'm not sure if that's separate, or if you lose twice as much when you kill them.

There's some gang territory in San Fierro, not much but I'm pretty sure the Balls have a hood up in there. Gangland is really minimal in San Fierro and Los Venturas.

Weird, if you get wasted you should lose it. As far as I know, computer gang members don't defend your territory... or maybe they don't do it well and I've never noticed they attempt to defend it and succeed once in a blue moon. Leaving it alone results in a loss as well.

Theres a sniper ontop of a roof in Mullhuland(you have to go ontop of one of the houses on the hills and jump onto the hotel roof)
Near the entrance to the Scrap yard(the closest one to your house) theres a chain saw

at the moment i have around 40,000 because i have bought all the available property in los santos, (loving the beach house) except for the house in the woodland that costs like 120,000 which is what im aiming for at the moment. I mostly shop at sub-urban and im liking the rockstar hoody and i found these really cool hi-tops that look just like mine. I have some bling, a pink watch and i did have green hair but i looked a bit goofy so i got a pink mowhawk and im covering it with a green cap (tilted) to rep my set foo' Oh and im ripped to the max muscle wise, as far as you can go and ive got max stamina and am still quite low on the others, except gun skill on which im at 'gangsta' level and my driving skill isnt too bad, im developing.

Well, GTA III was really the introduction of the 3D world, they had built it completely from scratch. Creating a game with that kind of magnitude from scratch would take years and years, like Fable kind of years, and that's a risk I bet they were not willing to take. Vice City was kind of like icing on the cake I assume, introducing all the new features of wardrobe, property, etc. San Andreas doesn't exactly have as many new features as Vice City had (Unless I'm losing them all in the massive nature of San Andreas). Takes years to build the kind of foundation for a game the magnitude of San Andreas.

Well see, I only have one mission up on the agenda right now. It's an Officer Tenpenny mission which involves me going to a warehouse and killing lots of Russians and Ballas. It was harder than I thought because I didn't stock up on body armor or ammo, so I should be able to get it right once that's taken care of.

By the way, how awesome is it that Samuel L. Jackson is the police officer? The dry, patronizing sarcasm that the officer says everything in could only be done by the man who played Jules in "Pulp Fiction."

their actualy prequals. GTA III was in Chicago in the 2000 era(estamated with the music styles aka techno and electronica radio stations), Vice City was in Miami on the 80's, and San Andreas is Los Angles, San Francisco, and Las Vegas in the 90's :chug: .

They only handle like a sack o' cunt because:
a) You suck at flying
b) You're flying skill is low
c) A and B

Just wait till you get some flying experience..then it's easy.

Ha ha, white boy ain't got no rhythm! I think playing bass has really helped me with that one; I now have some semblance of "flow." Also, the two-finger plucking I do on the bass really helps with the X and O buttons on the weightlifting.

Maybe so, but sorry, it is based on New York. Its in every GTA 3 review and I think R* has said so numerous times. Also, Stauton Island is based on Manhattan Island, the other two are regions of New York.

Chicago isn't exactly surrounded by a body of water(Although it's right by a lake, not surrounded mind you) and as far as I know, an island is not part of it.

But yes, Ramsey it right. R* has been quoted many times saying it was based on NYC. No GTA city is an exact replica. I think the above ground trains are purely for transportation purposes, to make it easier. Although there is a subway as well.

Wow....what a great game. Worth every single cent I spent on it. Thats what I wanted from Fable...I feel so satisfied....and I haven't even compelted it 100%!

I've decided to restart after finishing the main missions and now I'm getting owned by the life's a beach mission. I can't seem to get anywhere near 4000 points.

Chicago isn't exactly surrounded by a body of water(Although it's right by a lake, not surrounded mind you) and as far as I know, an island is not part of it.

But yes, Ramsey it right. R* has been quoted many times saying it was based on NYC. No GTA city is an exact replica. I think the above ground trains are purely for transportation purposes, to make it easier. Although there is a subway as well.
Yeah. GTA3 is clearly NYC. It is less obvious than VC or San Andreas though.

Break into one of the airports (by jumping on top of the security building outside any of the gates) and fly around in any plane you steal. Experience + skill points = easier to beat school

i witnessed my first plane crash last night on SA. I was coming out of a burger store and suddenly there was this massive explosion a block away, i went to look and there was this black carcass of a plane in the middle of the road surrounded by cars on fire and it was pretty awesome.

You'll end up in San Fierro after a mission, and you go to Las Venturas after a mission.

3. Fido (Silent guy from GTA 3): he can't win since he has no characterization
2. Tommy Verceti: he was pretty bad *** but got a little annoying
1. CJ: gotta love him, he is a bad *** gangsta who is hilarious and is not too much of a lone wolf kind of character

Best Radio Stations:
3. GTA 3: Chaterbox was the only good one
2. VC: really good 80's rock (VROCK) but the rest weren't good
1. SA: music was great, good Rap, good Rock, good Chat

Most Realistic:

3. SA: sorry but a gangster sneaking in to steal a jet back? (being unrealistic isn't a bad thing :thumb: )

Whenever you get into a plane or helicopter you get one so you can eject if necessary.
