I recently restarted this game. my save file got deleted (at about 70%) and I couldn't be bothered to do it again til now.

There's not really a special way to do the airstrip missions, except to keep doing them until you get used to the controls. Also note that L2 and R2 are useful for turns.

But I did master the Dodo in GTA 3, so i guess that helped?

as half of you know I had trouble flying and landing.Well I finally beat that part and pased the helicopter parts.After that you get to fly that old baron lookin' thing,I passed its 1st part but then I got to the barrel roll part and it said to hold the left analog until you get to the other circle, but everytime I do it my plane goes in totaly off track positons and I always end up crashing.Can someone tell me if I am not doing something right cause this is rediculus.

It's logic on that one. Fly straight until you hit the corona, then push the analog stick on one side quickly. You should be able to recover and hit the next corona.

I think Vice City was definitely better. One thing I really hate about SA is that you have to drive for freakin miles to get between one major area to another and it's boring and takes ages. Also, the scenery is pretty depressing.

^ wtf, I think VC was the worst in the series, I like the feeling in SA that if you travel some distance it really feels accomplishing and it's not that hard to get from 1 place to the other

Haven't got my pilot's license yet. I've only played VC and SA, I have GTA3 but I couldn't get into it so I gave up after like 1 mission because I played VC first and it was sooo much better.

I really like the open areas in San Andreas, but I do think there's a little too much. Vice City really pissed me off because it was all city. It boasted such a big map, yet a third of that was taken up by the beach

Vice City had a better story, San Andreas has more fun stuff to do and Liberty City had the best layout

If Rockstar do decide to remake London, I hope they consider what I said. I know they are watching too, San Andreas was made in Lincolnshire (Where I live)

I completely agree. Getting around on SA isn't supposed to be a chore. I do the same thing with the police jeeps, getting a few stars and then treading rough terrain, seeing if they can follow

Another thing I like to do in the countryside and desert is grab a load of uzi ammo, get a bike and shoot at a car. Then they will race off and I have to try and shoot them down, but I only shoot from the side view.

Maybe I just spend too much time on it doing stupid stuff like that, but I find it fun. Plus SA is ****ing great for relieving stress!

That works too. I just flew between a couple of tall rocks, dipped down into the dam and followed the water from there. The scenery was much nicer.

It was actually pretty fun. well, i didnt JUST walk, but i did about half of it on foot. I just stayed in different places longer than i normally would, and played more like a civilian.
The key is to not use cheats, then lose all your money on horse racing so you can play normally. Actuall, when i got back to los santos and statyed there for a bit, i claimed that i wrote a book on everything i did and i used the money cheat 3 times. :p

STUFF I DID:
1.walked from pizza place in northern venturas, and losing all of my $1000 in a casino so the mob came after me.

2.got to palimino creek, then in los santos i took over some territory. also, i was starting to get fat.

3.got to mt chiliad, fell off top on bike...which kinda gave me a free ride to the san fierro hospital.

4. in el quebrados, i got 60 some percent with barbara, and was a total fat ***.

5. flew back to LS, where i lost weight / gained muscle, then got a broadway and made tons of money as a pimp.

The reason this all was fun (tons of stuff i left out) was just to look back and recognized the game could be fun without doing missions. :thumb:

Yeah, the further you fly out, the more territory becomes available. Apparently there's 178 to take over

Actually it's East-North East to fly it and they start popping up, I did it and the Ballas' started appearing in the desert

Yeah, but its a glitch that prevents you from getting 100%. You get to 99% territory taken over at max.

That's the Hummer, right? You can usually find one in the parking lot of that chemical/power plant right outside of San Fierro. It's locked so you have to figure out how to smash the doors off.

Ok, so i finished the Mount Chilliad Challenges and came first on the first and second race but i cam last in the third race. When i finished the third race it said that i had completed the Mount Chilliad Challenges and that i could go back and beat my best times.

This guide has everything you need for 100%. Chillad races do give a % according to this guide.

As for the naval base photo op, Grab a boat and cruise around the out side of the base. Stop every so often to look threw your camera to where the photo op should be. You should be able to see it with out triggering the wanted level.

You can also go to the end of the runway at the airport, zoom in, and estimate where the photo-op should be until you get it. You won't actually be able to see it, if I remember correctly, but just take a few pictures of the general area and you should find it.

Collecting the horseshoes by the naval base is different though, you have no choice but to go in there and get the 5-Star wanted level.

In Vice City I would always sit on the hood of a cop car and fire randomly at passing motorists. It had to be a cop car because civilians would just stop and get out when the bullets flew, and since I knew the wanted level code I could force them back into their car before they beat me up for hitting someone.

But San Andreas has made drive-bys even easier so I'm not complaining!

oh man this game is so good! anyone here own it yet? ive heard a few people diss it for some reason or another but i dont see how it can be dissed. this game really is that good. climbing on a hill or house and looking down on the moving city is pretty special. i cant wait to climb mount. chiliad. its gonna take a while to get there though. I thought i had found a way to get round the roadblocks that stop you getting to the certain areas of san andreas that your not supposed to reach yet, by swimming across the sea, but when i reached the shore, i immediatly had 4 wanted stars and got tourn a new a-hole by the police chopper. ouch. this game is **** cool.
I have Vice City and 3 and even played the old ones but since I don't have ps2, I'm waiting for San Andreas to come out for PC.

I feel your pain dude, the dancing missions are one of the lamer additions to the newest GTA. But you just need to keep at it, you'll get it, and after that I don't think there are any more compulsory dance missions.

I've just started on the PC and the control with the mouse lookaround while you drive was driving me nuts but I stuck with it and it's way better than the old style look-straight-ahead-or-behind-or at 90 degrees out the sides to do a driveby way.

The dancing missions are pretty lame though, and the eating/gym/tattoos crap is too Sims for me. The barbers is pretty funny though and the characters are hard case.

I love this game. I got it the day it came out on PC and loaded it up on to my computer I had just ordered. I've been playing it for hours everyday. So much fun.

I just started playing it again. I always try to do this. go to the tallest building in los santos and jump off the building with the parachute. Then I go to the mountain in sanfierro and jump off that in whatever car I'm in at the moment. Then I go to the place that you own with an air strip surrounded by broken planesin las venturas. Then fly the jet to las santos airport,then get in another plane and fly to the san fierro airport. then get in another plane and fly to the las venturas air port and then driving back to the place you own that has an airstrip. Try to do this in 1 GTA day(about 24 minutes). First try it and if it's easy, yhen give yourself 4 stars, then see if you can do it.

No no no, you got me all wrong I ain't bashing consoles. Okay, put it this way. They should release the console versions first but when they cook up the PC version they should work harder to use the superior power of PCs.

The game is awesome but could be so much better, just little things to make the world more real like how there were hardly any parked cars in SA compared to VC. In the real world there would be way more in those carparks. And having people go into and out of buildings, going into beach changing sheds clothed and coming out togged, cars not disappearing once they are out of sight ...

You know what I mean, the game is limited at first design by the abilities of the console. So when they release the PC game 6 months later it should have been improved to take advantage of the PC's power.

I just rented this game, since it came out for the XBox. Unfortunately, I helped my cousin beat it when it was on the PS2 so I know how it ends, but it's still very fun!

I just beat the "The Truth" mission where you have to take the jet pack onto a train to get some green goo crap.

Oh, and to beat the priest I just followed him and tried to push his protection off the road/into signs and then did a drive by while he was getting back on the road. Then I repeated on the preacher.

And I REALLY miss taxis. I hate when you fail a mission that takes you across the map and you have to go ALLLLLL the way back.

I played GTA:SA at my cousin's house and I'm hooked on it, its great. We didn't play actual missions we just messed around with cheats. I did do one mission though where you break into the guy's house.

Just so you guys know, there is a friggin huge passanger plane in the big hangar in san fierro at the left end of the run-way (You have to wait until the gate opens or circle the hangar, not sure how I did it) and you can get an awesome racing-bike when you do certain streetrace missions, like "little loop" in the first city.

Twas hiliarious, I went in one house and nicked a TV, put it in the van, went back in and there were like 6 Ballas sitting on couches, they jumped up and shot at me.

I was so very close to getting to my destination with 3 star wanted level, i had broke past those god forsaken police cruisers and was on a home straght when WAM ... helicopter shreds me.

robbery missions are fun, you should stab them in there sleep and stuff like that, then you can just run around grabbing heaps of stuff, i was driving in my lowrider in an enemy gang territory using my hydrolics when everyone had started shooting at me, the gang member in the seat next to me got his head shot off and my tires were popped, i had 2 wing it all the way back to my house. i blew all those F***ERS up after though, no mercy

I found the BoxCar or whatever it's called near the Ganton gym yesterday, so I started robbing houses.
Twas hiliarious, I went in one house and nicked a TV, put it in the van, went back in and there were like 6 Ballas sitting on couches, they jumped up and shot at me.

I was going up Mount Chiliad, and a plane crashed near me, scared the crap out of me:lol:

Thats almost as bad as when the ballas spawn underwater near the beach when you go to take over the territory.

And ive seen a total of 4 plane crashes, 2 on chiliad. I remember the first time i saw one was in san fierro....I finished a mission, then i heard a few loud bangs, the screen got chuggy, and i turned the corner to the doherty garage and saw a fire truck putting out a fire on a WWII fighter.

It was awesome.

But while we're on messed up planes, i saw a passenger plane get shot down over the military base. I laughed my *** off, which is kinda messed up now that i think of it.

Are you on drugs dude?!?? Controlling with the mouse and keys completely pwns playing with controller. If anything it's too easy.

The best way (if you're right handed) is to set the movement controls to the r,d,f,g keys instead of the arrows, then set left shift to sprint, h to enter/exit cars and space to jump. You can customize the bejesus out of it.

To rob houses you get one of the Boxville vans. You can find one in the apartment complex near the gym in Ganton after you have done the break-in mission with Ryder.

I've had a Hydra spawn in the San Feirro underground police car park and managed to get it out without destroying it. Lots of strange things spawn down there...

Yeah making up your own challenges is fun, especially once you've beaten the main storyline and don't feel like collecting things to get 100% yet (like me). I like to create a massacre and then try to make it to the Pay N Spray to get my wanted level erased before the cops can get me. It's tough!

I have to bump this, I like the game so much.

I always put the "Strong Cars" cheat on. Which bassically enables invincibility of your car/plane/boat/motorcycle. Getting 6 Wanted stars and going on a massive rampage around the city. It's so cool, they're all like "HEY, GET HERE NOW, WE'RE ABOUT TO USE EXTREME FORCE ON YOU BUDDY". And I'm all like ":cool:". It's amazing. Not to mention the sheer awesomeness of just getting on a dirt bike or a quad and going through the Back 'O' Beyond and whatnot. It's cool how free roaming the game is.

Any news on if there will be a new G.T.A any time soon? (I.E next 2 years maybe?)

Well, after playing the game on the first day of release, and with the same with the other gta's, it comes apparent that the gta series are always well loved once released, but then it just dies down and you don't go on it anymore. It's the sort of game that you come back to and mess around after a while.

Each of the gta series are great in everyway.

And I've had to put up with losing my game save on the memory card 2 times. :upset: The pain, I got all the horseshoes with the fecking jetpack, all the packages things, the oysters everything!

Crappy.

O yeah theres more. Trying for 3 hours to get gold on all the boat/plane missions to get the decent vehicles, especially that hunter chopper to do all the vigilante missions!

it means you can recriut that many gang members. if you have like enough respect to recruit 5 members, then you go up to the people in green, and lock on to them with no weapon, and then I think push up and then they'll be recruited, and they follow you around whever you go.

doesn't the plane eventually run out of fuel, meaning that it would never be able to get to Grove street in the first place?
