I agree completely, in fact I never really took to FF7 as much as most people seem to have done. I didn't find the plot that amazing or anything too outstanding about it at all. Nothing inovative.

I found Sephiroth pretty dull, he looks the part but I just didn't find him very entertaining.

Vamp and Fatman are definatly worth mentions, may be a bit far out but they were very entertaining. They also had very clever back stories, vamp's was brilliant. Both of the fights against them are pretty good too, but Sephiroth was a HUGE disappointment.

Oh yeah and Gruntilda from Banjo-Kazooie.

Whats with the obsession with 'ole Seph?
The Ikaruga bosses were pretty **** cool. Pretty **** hard for later ones, but still cool.
Enter The Matrix might not have 'cool' bosses, but they bloody good fun to fight.
As for best bosses ever, my vote goes to...

Master/Crazy Hand from Super Smash Bros Melee.
Or if you count you vs 3 level 9 cpus...

I love the classic Nintendo villains: Mother Brain, Bowser, and Ganondorf.

Square never dissapoints with incredible characters, and their villains are some of the best. Sephiroth, Kuja (my fave), and Seymour all had deep-rooted motivations for their actions, while Kefka pulled off the insane murderer persona perfectly. Magus was cool, too.

Sigma, leader of the Mavericks! Absolutely invincible. :)

Whilst I thought FF7 was a good game, I thought the coolest looking boss was Griever from FFVIII. The last boss in hell on DOOM 3 was pretty cool looking.

Sephiroth is definately the coolest bad guy, and he was the hardest guy to kill in Kingdom Hearts (which was a surprisingly cool game, gay little kiddy messages of freindship aside). Seymore was to gay for my liking, and he came back from the dead far too many times. Frank Yeager (think that was his name) aka. the cyborg ninja from MGS was cool too... but he was more neutral really.
