View Full Version : Tony Hawk's Underground 2.
Discuss T.H.U.G. 2 in here.
This wasn't what I expected. It was still pretty fun though. What I didn't like was that most of the levels were kinda crowded with shietz. I thought the story would be better than the last, but I don't know..the whole team vs team thing, not too crazy about it. But when I go to select a level to play high score/free skate, multiplayer, or whatever, there's a bunch of question marks at the very top. So Im assuming those are locked levels, if I'm right, does anyone have an idea of how to unlock them? Discuss. :)

It got a little boring the 6th time around. Especially with all the selling out to Bam lovers and whatnot.

yeah i have it but hardly played it so far as ive been playing fable and GTA:SA. But what i played was ok, but some serious slowdown on the park with that water fountain on, when you jump over the fountain, but its a cool game, they could make 1,999,999 tony hawk games and i would buy them all

I'm not really a fan of GTA games.
Worth buying?
Yea, but I recommend waiting a bit for the price to go down. The THUG price went down a lot, even before THUG2 was talked about.

would i be better off just getting THUG?
I havent played a skateboarding game since THPS 2.
Well..THUG is still a pretty good game, it may get a bit boring after you beat it a few times..but yeah, it's only something like $24.99 CDN here..I recommend getting it. Plus, if story mode gets boring, there's always multiplayer which is pretty fun to play. In multiplayer there are games like: Graffiti, Horse, Slap, Firefight, Free Skate, to name a few.
With THUG2, there are just a few different things, like there's classic mode AND story mode, new characters like Phil Margera, Shrek, some alien, some cool mouse thing, a shrimp vendor, a Ben Franklin Impersonator..and a few more. In story mode, you have 4 characters in each level. You, A Pro, a Guest, and a Secret character. You have things to do for each of them, and you have to get a certain amount of points to move on to the next level. But it's pretty cool, some of the characters in the levels ride on other things than skateboards.
To list a few:
Jesse James - I forget what he uses, but I remember it goes super fast.
Big Foot - some chainsaw (?) powered skateboard.
Paulie - an electronic wheelchair that goes pretty fast.
Guy in Australia - Go-kart, goes pretty fast.
There are a few more..
The story for THUG2 is pretty much you and a bunch of skaters get picked to skate in the World Destruction Tour. You get split up into two teams, one is Bams, and the others is Tonys. You go from place to place completing goals you're given. On THUG it's just, you and Eric Sparrow are two normal skaters in Jersey, and you guys work your way up to the top, you become an AM, and then eventually a Pro, and the stories pretty cool, but I don't want to give it away for you if you haven't played it.
I'd get THUG first, I think. :thumb:
