Ive been eyeing Agile guitars lately. My friend bought one of the old Agile Ghosts(explorer copy) and for only 200 some-odd bucks he paid for it, it plays a ton better than the epiphone explorers. althought they discontinued their direct explorer copy, they have another copy that more resembles the ibanez destroyer. i was thinking of buying one of those.

I bought a Jackson DKMG back in March. 'Tis incredible, I'd been looking forward to it for almost a year. The newest one is a Blueridge acoustic. I had never heard of the brand at first, but thast doesn't matter, because it's a beautiful guitar with amazing sound.

I only have two guitars... my trusty mexi strat with new pickups, and a Taylor acoustic. I love good acoustics. They have such beautiful tone.

I've been working on putting my theory to good use and arranging the Esper world theme from FFVI, but it isn't going too well.

Tomorrow I'll be looking at a used Jackson KE-2 in trans-black. Made in USA, 2000, good condition cept a gash on the back of it. We'll see.

Sounds nice. My DK was made in USA with a trans-black finish. It looks badass. RR5 no good? :( That's too bad. They look very attractive. They also resemble Alexi Laiho's old Jackson, which is a big selling point with me. I'd still like to try one anyway.

Huh. I never knew that. Well, in that case, I'll specify my statement. I prefer classic fender looking guitars. Like, the strat/tele stuff. They're more in line with my music taste most of the time.

Overrated, not ideal for metal, somewhat overpriced IMO... they're kind of like Gibson, but to a lesser degree. IMO of course.

Cadd9, Amadd9, Cadd9, Amadd9, Fadd9/A, Gadd9/B, Abmaj7, Bbmaj7. Wash, rinse, repeat. Keep in mind, however, that the prelude involves four octave arpeggios. So, unless you're really awesome at guitar, you're going to have to just do two octaves twice.

Four Octave arpeggios = insanity. Basically, on a 24 fret guitar, if you play the low E string open, and the 24th fret on the high E, you played a four octave jump. Now, for the prelude, you would need to arpeggiate that distance for several chords. Since there aren't enough notes on the guitar to do that, and low E isn't low enough, you'd have to do some really fancy stuff. Like detuning the guitar so the low E is an Ab, and doing fancy pinch harmonic stuff. It would be insanely difficult.

While it was previously thought that Advent Children's DVD release would be held simultaneously in Japan and the United States on September 13th, Square Enix has once again pushed back its full length CG sequel to Final Fantasy VII. No new release date has been set, but a November release during the "Holiday Season" is likely. Stay tuned to EoFF for the latest news about Advent Children and the rest of the Final Fantasy series.

While many fans were saddened by the delayed release of Advent Children outside of Japan, Square Enix has released some encouraging news. The English voice acting, though not quite complete, is close to being so. Only a few character remain to be voiced. Even better, the Japanese version is finished. Those lucky enough to live in Japan have just over two weeks to wait before they're able to witness the long in-production CG feature film.

In a related progression, project head Tetsuya Nomura has chosen the image song, or main theme, for Advent Children. The track, "CALLING," by Kyosuke Himuro, is from a 1989 album entitled Neo Fascio. Nomura thought the song fit the movie's view of the world.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children will be available in Japan on September 13th and will be followed by an international release sometime in the fourth quarter.

Despite already having shipped beta testing kits for Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus, Square Enix sent out a press release today which states that the beta previously scheduled to start tomorrow will be delayed. No new start date was officially set, leaving gamers to wonder what kind of effect this new development will have on the game's release date.

Square Enix cites “...final last minute tuning that we've decided needs to be done“ as the motive behind their decision for the beta's postponement. Let's hope that these issues are resolved soon.

It's by far one of the better forums on MX. Sure a smidgeon of the pit garbage is leaking in there but its definately not the worst. Most of the veterans there are helpful, plus Aes is a genius. I try to throw in help in the beginner forum as much as I can.

I'm serious. I don;t stick my neck in there too much, but every time I do I see people insulting others for not knowing something or throwing **** in their face for asking a question. The vets there are helpful, but the semi-n00bs are the ones who think they know everything and argue constantly. I get frustrated after looking at two threads.

Bad fret access eh? I hear that a lot, but I'm lucky I've never had to experience it. My DKMG has great access all the way up to 24. It works for me at least, but I have small hands compared to most...anybody.

Yeah, fret access is great on my Schecter... anyway, this pretty much makes my decision for me on getting a V. Now the question is RR style or DV8 style...

^ Get an RR. It's a tough one though, because in my opinion ESP is one of the only brands (for metal) that doesn't completely pale in comparison to Jackson.

But then again, Ibanez is extremely popular for metal, and I hate Ibanez with a firey passion, so that may be my pent-up rage talking.

I don't know, I once went to a custom shop and made up a guitar I wanted. I specified everything and the estimate was around $8000. :( It was barely any better than a specific model.

Maybe I went a little overboard with the high priced inlays, body construction, finish, (I could go on and on)... :p

My custom is fairly standard cept the body and neck woods, and the inlays are reverse sharkfins for sure. I can't decide which I like better though, one reverse sharkfin at the 12th fret, or a complete set...

So I heard this movie is coming out pretty soon, in a couple weeks as i see from a couple source. I'm a big fan of FFX and FFX-2, which are the only final fantasy games i've played, and i just love watching the breathtaking cinematics in the games and to just hear about a final fantasy movie just gives me goosebumps. Here's the problem though, i hear this movie is a sequel to FFVII, which is a game i've never played be4. So will i be fine to watch this movie and understand everything without knowing any of the storyline from FFVII, because i just hate being totally lost when watching movies.

Not true, you are allowed to make a digital copy of your own games NOT download a game that you already own. If you own Final Fantasy VII then download a Final Fantasy VII ROM online you are committing a crime. Not that it matters really.

Metallica is my favorite band. Although lately they havent been that good, I still respect what they have done to the metal genre, plus they can still put on a great show. Seen em 5 times live, everytime was awesome. :thumb:

I agree with quite a lot of those awards, although I have to disagree about placing VII and VIII in the bottom 3 because they are not set in a medieval setting. Neither was Final Fantasy X either really, but he praised it a lot.
