Well..currently they're doing server maintenance until tommorow i think, so i cant play it again until then :(, and i havent got very far, but man some of the locations ive been to are amazing, big deserts and stuff, and me and AJIG went in this big mine, thats about all ive done so far :p, the battles are also really fun, best when you're with someone else.

I teamed up with a Mithra (cat girl) and we went hunting goblins, twas great fun.

Its worth it once you get past all the hassle of installing and updating.

According to AJIG, i havent seen anything yet :cool:

WARRIOR

A warrior is one of the three Tank classes (Warrior, Paladin, and Ninja to some extent), meaning, that they will always be in demand should a party need either a Tank, or a Damage Dealer.

Maintaining Hate

As a Tank, your job is to maintain the attention of the mob, known as hate.

The first method readily available is your Job Ability "Provoke" which has a recast timer of 30 seconds. When in battle with a party, you MUST use this every 30 seconds unless you have a Thief in the party setting up SATA (more on this later).

Warriors are different tanks from Paladins and Ninjas in the way they maintain hate. Aside from "Provoke," Warriors maintain hate through damage. And as a Warrior, you deal some sick damage. Optimize your damage potential by using Axes or Great Axes, and to some extent, Great Swords. These maximize your damage but may have some high Delay.

Equipment

Just keep your equipment updated, thats all. Buy STR+ Rings and Earrings. And keep your weapoins updated as money permits.

Happens to me too, guess it should be expected, FF7 is pretty old, my discs are scratched to hell, i usually just check ebay these days.

Basically. Just think of it this way: If the monster is wailing on anyone but you (the Tank) you either aren't provoking enough, the mages are casting too much, or other people are hitting too hard. Just keep the monsters attention on you.

Im not playing just now...it lets me choose my character, loads, know when it says 'downloading data' when you go to a new area, then says error 2003 'Cant read data', is my game screwed or is it just because of the server maintenance?

FF7 ruled because of best charactrs and storyline FF8 had the best summon system called gfs but a horrible magic system with ****ty characters. I can barley remember FF9 crappy characters bad storyline good magic system FF10 was of course incredible graphics and a storyline that coul match FF7 blitzball was alright it gave you something to do but the best part of FF10 was the ability to swtich characters and the ability for summons to be characters. the characters themselves were very good them selves.

IMO one of the worst part of X was this and the fact that summons can take damage for you. this allowed the stupid Square staff to include ridiculously strong enemies (PENANCE) with stupidely strong attacks that can only be avoided using this cheap tactic. meh, i just hated X. yes, hated.

they did. i hated the way they made the side-quests so time-consuming and hard, but they didnt do it to the parts where you had to play through. for example, the VERY crappy last boss.

On a new game i started i remember running around FH trying to get 200AP on one of Diablo's abilities to be able to refine adamantite during the Galbadian invasion. It took ages but it'll be worth it later in the game.

Well, technically, you can argue any world that's not modelled largely off our own is a fantasy world. But, FFVII and FFVIII were more sci-fi, in my opinion. IX was pretty much straight up fantasy, and VI blended the two pretty well.

Yes. FFT is the retelling of the Lion War. The 50 year war was before the Lion War. But, if I'm not mistaken, FFXII will take place a looooong time before the lion war. In the "long lost civilization" that the mechanic character is looking for.
