Ok, looks like theres another guy voting to heal Yoda, so instead of trying to fight it, I'll just help out. Everyone else in this thread thats participating in it should just vote heal Yoda from now on.

Ok, here's an updated list of the FF characters that are to be included in the upcoming final fantasy hurt+heal. There are 20 Characters total because so many people wanted different characters in it (but lets not go over 20). I hope everyone's sastisfied, but if not please leave a comment/suggestion. :)

I never noticed that, but the three best non-good guys all have names starting with K. Kuja, Kefka, and Kain. That's awesome. Except they're like the KKK, and that's not quite as awesome.

I'm probably going to ultimately be pulling for Terra to win, but there are lots of characters I'd be happy to see win. Neither Cloud nor Sephiroth are those characters.

THE RULES: Just like the other Star Wars one that was started before this, you can only post in this thread once every two hours. I know most everyone knows how to play hurt+heal but basically what you do is choose a character (each one has 10 hp) you want to hurt, and then choose a character you want to heal. Once your choice is made, note the characters you are hurting/healing at the top of the list and then deducte/add the correct amount of points. If you don't know who the Final Fantasy characters are, thats ok, just follow the rules and don't piss everyone off. Lastly, I would like to thank everyone in the Final Fantasy thread for helping with this (red barchetta, ShadowsFallen, DeusExMachina...and many others) :thumb:

The double hurt & heal or whatever sounds interesting. I think if we did that we could make a limit of how much you can do (such as you can't hurt or heal more than three points in a post) and we could also give each character more points to start with.

I think the Zolom is too tough at that stage, though it's quite fun to go back later in the game and beat it really easily.
The easiest and quickest way would be a Chocobo I think, even though you don't want to get one.

Just run as far as you can, get into a fight with it, run away from the fight, run a bit farther, get into a fight with it, run away from the fight, run a little farther etc etc, some of your party will die a few times, but meh.

Or, another thing that could work is, once you have two people left, take both of their point counts down to twenty, and do an even match between them.

Get it for less than £15, then free up a day to install it.

Its not the installation that takes ages (6 disks is annoying though), but the updates you need to upload to be able to play it takes about 2 hours.

After that, nothing is ever slow about the game again

Grind, drag, drawn out affair, etc. Dont let him put you off, the slow parts of the game (lvl 5 - 10) are far outweighed by the good parts (lvl 15+ :) )

I got bored, so I went exploring. Literally crapped myself on seeing some of the monsters in the marshes, but somehow, made it through 2 areas with only 2 aggros.
I was hoping I would find some scrolls there for cheap, but Drain is even more costly.

The auction there though is a lot better for making money than Bastok. I might stick around for a bit longer

wasn't putting him off, just stating for most of the game...you'll be lvling/grinding...aka...not doing many quests.


like I said though, it's a very fun game, and at least you'll spend it with people. Whereas in WoW....it's more solo until you hit 50ish.

EDIT: to give this a point, um... does anybody notice that most magic becomes overrated near the end of the game except for healing spells? i always ended up just going with physical attacks usually, and maybe a few summons against final bosses. i found no need for any magic except beneficial stat magic.

THE RULES: Just like the other Star Wars one that was started before this, you can only post in this thread once every two hours. I know most everyone knows how to play hurt+heal (but we have added in a new rule) basically what happens is you have 2 'turns' you can choose to heal a character and hurt one, or *special add on* you can choose to heal two characters (or the same one) or hurt two characters. Once your choice is made, note the characters you are hurting/healing at the top of the list and then deducte/add the correct amount of points.

If you don't know who the Final Fantasy characters are, thats ok, just follow the rules and don't piss anyone off. Lastly, I would like to thank everyone in the Final Fantasy thread for helping with this (red barchetta, ShadowsFallen, DeusExMachina...and many others)

so how long is lufia II? Like any of the FF's? Does it have a lot of sidequests? i heard you talking about that 99 level dungeon or something?
It's pretty long, but not super long.

Not many sidequests, but it does have a 99 floor dungeon that has no savepoints in it. And, when you enter the dungeon, you are lowered to level one and lose all equipment, items, and magic (with a few exceptions which you will find out about if you play the game). It's quite fun.
