Because it costs around 121 million gil to upgrade your Relic Weapon fully, which allows you to use the weapon skill. It's extremely hard to make that much, and most gil I've ever had is 900,000 gil. (I'm a very very very poor thief).

It's not a all at once, the whole deal is your first stage relic weapon drops from a mob in Dynamis, which then you have to turn in items to upgrade it four times into the final stage. All together it takes about that much.

Usually, but it really depends on how much other stuff I have to do. As of late, I havn't been playing as much, mainly because I'm stuck and can't seem to level, and I'm tired of farming.

A weaponskill is an attack based solely on the weapon. Say for instance I am a Monk (which I am) and I use Hand-to-Hand techniques (which I do), my first weaponskill is Combo, which is a three-fold attack. That Weaponskill is exclusive to hand-to-hand weapons. Each weapon type has their own weaponskills with different effects for all of them aside from just base damage.

Very good. After building up enough TP by attacking, you can unleash a Weaponskill. By linking them up in certain orders, you can do a Skillchain, which is even more added elemental damage. Once that is one, a Mage can cast magic of the same skillchain type and cause a Magic Burst for some sick damage.

FFVII-2 is basically Advent Children... Then there's the 2 spin-offs coming, and the remake. Samuel L. Jackson would be a good Barret, and get Keanu Reeves to do Cloud (like him or not he does that character type a lot).

Apparently, most of the Final Fantasy creator crew would love to do an FFVII sequal. They all loved the game. But apparently, it's an unrealistsic dream. X-2 was possible because the original X was a PS2 game as well, so X and X-2 both used the same data engine. But since FFVII was a PS1 game, the data engine is different and thus unusable. In other words, if they wanted to make a VII-2, they would have to start all over from scratch like they would for a brand new FF title.

I dont remember having a time limit for the input? you have to hit the blitz button once, then input the thing while the hand is pointing at sabin, then execute then it should work.

It depnends on what you mean by "gil". As a thief, I can farm and make money better than any other class, but even then, that doesn't mean I can make, say, 5 million in a week or so. Where I farm, I can make about 100k in 2 hours, but it's boring and I personally don't like it. The better way to make money is to get into a HNM LS, but you generally have to be 65+ to get in one.

Whenever I listen to the Blackjack theme from FF6, it reminds me of a casino commercial.

Also, I miss the old school feel of FF6. Battle gauges, 4 party members, turn based battles. No flash, just solid gameplay and perfect story telling. No flashy garbage.

I liked the character swithing thing, but it just made your party pretty much invincible cause if one of your characters was about to die ( which is umlikely in the first place) then you have like 7 other people for you to switch with.

I'd rather them improve on the formula then totally change it. Turn based battles is like a staple of the FF franchise. Quick, imagine if FF7 had real time battles. :thumb:

Its not that I hate real time battles, I like it, just, they should stick with turn based in the FF games. Star Ocean 3 has an excellent real time battle system, but the way there implementing it in 12 just looks, eh.

A D&D thing would be very cool, but it would take a lot of work. I'd be more than willing to be involved. Unfortunately, it's been a very long time sinceI've played D&D, so I don't completely know how it would work. IWe'd need to find DMs, and that can be tough, especially since school is about to start back up for most of us.

Can you multiplayer Diablo 2? I think I like that idea even more. We could all connect and go on a real quest instead of just winging it with text.

I don't have Diablo 2, but I'd love to. If we decide to do that I'd go out and get it that same day...(I need the game anyway).

My favorite Cid would be VII's. He was such a rude mother****er and always criticized people - he's no Setzer, but he had a nice airship.

I'm guessing the person with the fastest connection should host on a regular basis, I'm not what the lag would be like when connected to a different server to normal, but its worth a shot anyways.

Mostly cause you can't mass units. Starcraft was easy in some cases because you could just spawn about ten hives, rush 200 zerglings into an enemy base and repeat that until they were dead. Each race had units that you could mass-produce and take out anything with the right strategies. Of course that was only for the campaigns... online play isn't as easy as that.

Strong heros matter, but don't try to tell me 6 chims won't rape a level 5 hero. Its all about micro and recon, building your army is the easy part. Its using your hero/units that's hard. I prefer it to Starcraft, less noobism, and the Battlenet has a way better interface and features.

Although it doesn't go along with the FF style, Battlefield 2 is a fun game to play. I was playing with one of my friends yesterday in the demo version. Hilarity ensued. It's a really cool online multiplayer game. :thumb:

All of these games are very new, and therefore will be too large a file to download or transfer and will have many security devices involved.

You could just try buying Warcraft III or Diablo 2. They've been aorund for a while and aren't too expensive now. :)

Plus your physical apperance changes with equip changes, so you can go into battle looking pimped out but crap, or dress in a robe and be stronger.

The economy seems ok on my server too, nothing is really overpriced (except Drain scrolls, bastards), and if yu put a good price on items, they will sell well quickly.

I see how people can spend ages on these things now, i've been on it till 2am for 3 nights now.

This game takes so much dedication, more than any other FF you've ever played, and probably ever will play. But just try and always push through, there is so much satisfaction(and often relief) when doing something you've been stuck on for a while.

Speaking of FF, I was just listening to Blind Guardian's "Weird Dreams" on the Tales From the Twilight World album, and the more I listen to that song, the more it seems like it fits as a boss battle theme in an FF.

I do!!! I love Starcraft. I wasn' too bad, but I wasn't the greatest either. It's still my favorite RTS even though I'm on a Warcraft III binge right now.

I was best at Terran, but Terrans I think are the least creative. I still play them the most though.

Actually, I had mastered a Protoss rush that got me the win every time. :)

Human and Orc are overpowered IMO. I always lose to Human fast expansion to mass air and Blademaster harass to mass batriders. I have trouble with DH harass too, but I can beat it.

I think I like Orc best as a melee race. NEs are great at ranged fighting, and therefore great at backing up in teams. Orc I think would be best as primary melee attacking. Orc + NE team = teh pwnage
