Yes yes, very good game. I thought it was pretty cool how you could actually see armor changes and whatnot in battle. And the battle system was almost like Sabin's Blitz. Probably somewhat influenced by it... Now I feel like playing LoL.

Ah yes, the hardest battle in the game to some... the easiest battle in the game to anyone with Move +3 and half a brain. Its the battle after that that gives me the trouble...

Should I play this Lufia II game? /is in the middle of 2 RPGs atm, plans to start another, and still has 2 Megaman X games unfinished

I hated Morrowind. It had a terrible battle system, the enchant system never worked for me, and the caves and whatnot were all so dark and scary.

Lucavi is basically Satan, and Velius is one incarnation from that one Zodiac stone that Wiegraf used. There's a different one for every stone I'm pretty sure.

Lufia II is awesome, really underrated, and one of the best RPG's on the snes. And, as I've mentioned several times, it has the greatest "side" quest ever created. The ancient dungeon is 99 floors, with no savepoints in it at all. Also, when you enter it, you lose all equipment, and get moved to level 1. You can find equipment as you go through it, but most of that equipment you lose when you leave the dungeon. So, you progress through the dungeon, and get to very high levels as you go through the 99 floors, and try to get 9 extremely rare items that randomly appear in treasure chests. And, at the final floor, you fight one of the most frustrating bosses ever. Nowadays, with walkthroughs and emulators that allow you to save state, the dungeon has lost some of its glory. However, if you go through it without using walkthroughs and without saving state, it's the most rewarding experience ever. And also the most frustrating one.

Edit: Also, don't bother playing Lufia I first. It's technically the sequel to Lufia II, and not nearly as good.

I always went Squire with Jump or Punch Art or Steal (depending on the battle), Two Swords, Blade Grasp, Move +3 or Teleport. That battle with Elmdor is easy if you aren't stealing, but I have never managed to steal both of Celia and Lede's accessories.

One trick is to level up a bit, then when you face random human guys, steal their stuff. It'll be better than what you can buy, because your level corresponds to a later part of the game.

steal heart is pretty valuable in the beginning of the game if it works... but later on enemies just become immune to it... however, i am partial to Geomancers in that game for some reason.

I've never used a geomancer. Or a bard. Or a Dancer. Or a mime. Or a calculator. Or a couple other classes. I don't know, I tend to keep it simple.

Never used Geomancer either, Bards and Dancers are good but I never really had a place for them. Calculators are AMAZING, most powerful job without a doubt. Can end a battle in one turn.

Calculators are magic users, they just use everything cept summon magics, and can use those magics on everyone in the battle at once (or whatever you need really). With no charge either... So I go Summoner with Math Skill, so I can use Zodiac too. Plus Calculators are really slow, but one turn is really all you need with them hehe. Flare or Holy on everyone... beautiful thing. Oh, and Auto Potion, Magic Attack UP, and something else... don't remember...

I never got a mime, but you could go calculator with mime(s) for some real pwnage. Just add Orlandu and Ramza in too. gg.

Course sometimes I go the traditional route of Lancers and Monks... eh, its all fun. Someday I'll replay it using all the jobs I never use much, like Geomancer and Samurai.

X-2 - Meh, they were all good with Yuna

malboros in Omega Ruins always ambush you with a bad breath at the start, and that was probably one the most annoying thing ever. my whole party died when i encountered a malboro inside Sin. i killed Yevon and Jecht in one shot, but got killed by a malboro. wtf is that about :D

Zeromus was such a bastard. That battle was very very hard, definitely the hardest last boss in any FF game, and I'd say the hardest boss in FFIV period. Ugh. I just beat the game for the second time recently, took me forever to finish him off.

Rose online's pretty good but you have to download a program first and the servers are very busy during 3-10pm, so you might not be able to log on. The game itself is 3D, it's pretty big. It has a kind of child-like feel to it so that might put you off.

Try to be horrible to Aeris. When you meet her don't buy a flower and when you see her again call her the slum drunk. I think it may also have something to do with who you use more in your parties.

Yeah, if you use Tifa instead of Aeris and talk to Aeris only when absolutely necessary and stuff like that. There's lots of opportunities, if you look for a dedicated Final Fantasy forum, people talk about all the places you alter the date.

I got it a few times. It's pretty cool but not that good. I'd onyl get it if you wanted to complete the game perfectly.
I think you get it from the sleeping guy in the cave and the last two digits on your number of battles have to be the same.

Yeah, if the last two digits are the same, he gives you mythril. Then I think you give the mythril to the lone weapons guy buy near the gold saucer and he gives you the level 4 manual.

I'm the same way. Its the same with platform games too, but they're usually shorter so I'll finish them anyway. And unfortunately lots of action games are impossible to be good on ROMs... Which is why I can't ****in wait for the Revolution, I think I'll get it before I get the PS3.

I was playing FFX last night and i was wondering about the Al Bhed language. How the hell did they get it to work? Is it based on some real language?

No, they jsut assign a letter to another letter, and manage to pull it off.

Try some quests. Some simple things though. It will help in the long run and you'll be able to access more important quests like the gobbiebag ones (increases inventory size) which I'm on right now.

And lots of travel. One quest you could do is Brygid the Stylist. She's in Bastok Markets past the goldsmiths guild. She asks you to wear a robe and subligar (eww) in the quest. Really easy, as both of those are level 1 items.

Another one involves obtaining Zeruhn Soot. Just go into Zeruhn mines (not too far in) in Bastok Mines and fight until you obtain 3 and talk to Gerbaum (I think) outside the mines.

These are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I can help you travel around so you can see the other cities and some wonderful sights. Once you hit 20, I'll take you to Jeuno so you can get your chocobo. at that level, it's a really dangerous walk.
