Everyone probably knows about this, but www.purevolume.com wasn't listed. It's a pretty easy to use mp3 host site thing.

Question: Would the buttons from http://www.curlyandspike.com/uk/buttons.htm be free shipping even though I live in the US? Or might I have to pay for overseas shipping?

Their shipping is free to within the UK only so you'd need to email them about rates to the US, although I am fairly sure that it wouldn't be that much.

http:\\www.westmidbands.co.uk

It's an infant site of the local scene for the West Midlands right here in England.

Has a forum for General Music Discussion and what not, but more importantly a forum for the Promotion of Bands, Venues and Records being released.

Site also has a reviews section for Instruments/Equipment, a Downloads page and Bios.

A good resource if you want to get gigs or promote gigs in the West Midlands area.

www.gigswapuk.com

For the south of UK/london area. Organises gigs for bands to play at. If you bring more than 30 people with you to your first gig with them, you get another gig in another city. If you get over 30 people then you get 3 for every person over 30.

My band have played a show with them and it was quite well organised and a good night. We got 50 people to come and made 60. We also secured another gig next month in a different venue. Also another band I saw last week did a gigswap show, they got 60 people to come and got 90 back to the band and they get another gig next month too.

Hmm, the 2 shops that are on there selling music gear are on because they sell 2nd hand. There are far too many to put on all of them, and it is sorta blatant advertising. Unless they're OUT OF THIS WORLD cheap, I don't think we want every single retailer there is.

but its kkk's choice, its his thread...

Yeah I agree with Moaner, most of the Equipment links are places that sell really really cheap or second hand retailers, but if the place has something really good like an obscure product, or they sell certain products for cheaper, let me know and I'll add it.

When completed it will be an all around musician resource where you can get help with unique promoting ideas, gig tips, articles, lessons, meet friends, post your music and so on. There will be a battle of the bands every so often once people start joinging and posting Mp3's. just basically every idea you can think of for a music site will be here.

With a free account you get 3 songs.
It's free for listeners to stream them. But to download it costs $1.
70cents goes to the artist.
10 to the credit card company
20 to bandspace.

They accept all genres as long as the recordings are professionally recorded. I'll add the new links, thanks for keeping this thread alive guys.
