The picture is black with a fading outline
Conquering, sweeping my mortal soul divine
Brutal suppression to smother the masses
On a dimensional hell hole with no straight lines

Tossed into oblivion to wander and pray
Only to find the darkness in a bright day
Grasping for purpose but finding none
In this dimensional hell hole with shades so grey

Obsession, compulsion leading them to desire
Of want to please a creature much higher
Too powerful to comprehend by earthly minds
Yet so simplistic in its essence, just divine

This elemental shift left them out of focus
Their minds just too inferior to realize
They strayed the path and now doomed
To be suppressed by a want to please this non-existent divine

Oh to fall away to bliss and ignorance
Oh to fall away

It's allright.

Some good lines.

I can't picture my self singing it, seems more like poetry.

I don't think the line "Obsession, compulsion leading them to desire", makes alot of sense, because if you were obsessed with something, then you couldn't really consider it compulsion.

Just my opinions, take them or- well you know.

Obsession means being obsessed to fulfill the need to have a god, and compulsion is like the impulse to worship it.

I guess I've always thought compulsion was like a spur of the moment thing, not something that had much thought or devotion behind it.
