I can't listen to the song, as soundclick hasn't cleared it yet. Anyway, from the lyrics....erm... well, "english tea" seems a bit of an odd phrase, I'd never ask someone for a cup of "english tea", I'd just ask for "tea". It's not like Starbucks, there's not usually a million different teas on offer in most places that serve hot drinks. Anyway, doesn't most of the tea sold in England come from India anyway?

That's all I have for you, I'm afraid. I like the idea in the last verse though, if not so much the execution (pun intended).

i put like a sassy vocal style behind this with all that glitz and glam and awesome weirdness of bowie and i liked the words, so i gotta say nice job on that dude. its an pretty excellent glam rock song. i havent listened to it for real yet though.. ill get back to you on that.

Well, I figured it was either...well..tea, or grass, or something sexual and filthy. Alcohol never entered my mind. (Well, it was late, that's the only excuse I can give.)

I suppose it makes some sense, what with the pub culture and all that - alcohol is probably the third most commonly-used drug behind caffeine and nicotine in the UK (fact made up off the top of my head there, but it sounds about right). In that case, good job. Maybe I can hear the music now, I'll try.

Yeah, I listened to it, kind of a "Marc Bolan-meets-Syd Barrett" feel, to my ear anyway. Ropey lo-fi production, and not the kind of thing I'd usually play by choice, but I can see an audience for stuff like that.

i think its really really good...and refreshingly different to a lot of stuff you read on here. (i'm not saying other stuff is bad...its just nice to have something different and good as well!)

i love the focus on the eyes and lips, its sexy and really effective. the whole thing is kind of quirky and i'm a sucker for quirkiness, so yeah...i love it and wouldn't change a thing. would like to have heard it tho....please put the link back up! i record at home too and when you are a poor student like me with bollocks equipment its really hard to get high quality work. i can see past the low quality...just really wanna hear it!
