im thinking of buying a therimen... perhaps the moog one or the hiwatt echo one. probably the hiwatt as it is much cheaper.
ive never played one but am interested in this. ive read about them online and love the sound and ideas. i hope to go to my music shop and try the moog one soon. they do not have the hiwatt though.
anyway, if any of you play, is it hard to learn? and how did you learn, are lessons available, or help books/videos? im not going to try to become a great therimenist, i just want a cool little fun instrument.
for those who own the hiwatt, is it a good value? or is it absolute crap?, remember i'd be a beginner.
also, i saw a site that has sells therimens too, but i forgot the brand, i saw them on ebay as well.
one last thing, which amp should i run a therimen through? im a bassist, so would it work through a bass amp? if not, should i get a guitar or keyboard amp, or just run it through the pa?
thanks.
