lyrical problems

im having alot of problems making a song, I get very good pieces but none of them fit together i have pieces for at least 80 songs but I cant finish any of them ... anyone have a problem solver

yup but the worst is im trying to make up a band and I ont want to play covers but i cant get any words for my own songs

i also have the same problem. and for all those unfinished songs, i eventually find a use for it in another song. i find the ones with the same or similar subject and piece them together. its worked so far but im still stuck with about 40-60 unfinished works.

Finish the song in one straight shot. Lyrics convey emotion and you lose the feeling once you go to sleep or stop writing. I always finish the song in one shot and then edit it if I have to, but I can't go back and get the same feeling I had when I originally wrote it. I've only written about 15-20 songs max, but I only have 1 or 2 I didn't finsh straight off...
