View Full Version : Need Some Advice
Ok, I've been thinking about starting a band for a while but I'm pretty selfish and can't really see anyone writing the music but me. I know it sounds bad. Most of the time though when I sit down at my keyboard I find myself not only writing parts for the keyboard but also for other instruments because I always hear the whole song in my head, not just the keyboard. So, I'm thinking of just getting a workstation as I hear you can do quite a bit with them. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I'd really appreciate your opinions.

Before you invest a lot of money in a workstation, you should probably download Tabit or Guitar Pro or something MIDI Notation Software and try your hand at songwriting and arranging.... and enter the Composition Challanges in the Pit :thumb:

guitar pro is very good for all types of songwriting. it is good to use wen u have a song in mind that you want to write out but its also good if you have jus a basic riff which you need to put chords etc to. i find it extremely useful although i keep reminding myself not to depend on it too much.
