A double check before i record

Ok my friends band wants me to help them record a small demo for them on sat.
I have the following equipment to use.

Either 7 or 8 mics, a pmx2000 behringer powered mixer, my computer, sonic foundry soundstage software, cable to go from the mixer to my comp. Is this all i need to get them a low quality recording? Or am i missing something?

I think you would be better off using an unpowered mixer.
If you are using a powered mixer you would still want to have your speakers attached to it. This will be un-necessary.
DO NOT connect a speaker output from your powered mixer to your computer.
