What's going to be on the dual disc? I mean, what songs are on it?

it's just a concert audio, whatever songs they did for Go Chuck Youself

EDIT:hey everyone! I'm a MAJOR sum 41 fan. I've got every album that they've put out. But I want to know if there's more Sum 41. Here are all the songs I got made by them. Are there any others? If so please tell me!

Introduction To Destruction

Never Wake Up
Fat Lip

Handle This

Summer
32 Ways to Die
Second Chance for Max Headroom
Dave's Possessed Hair/It's What We're All About
Ride the Chariot to the Devil
Another Time Around
Killer Queen
For Whom The Bell Tolls-Master
How You Remind Me
Little Know it All (ft. Iggy Pop)
What I Want (ft. Tenacious D)
Leavin' On A Jet Plane
Get Back (ft. Ludacris)
Unwritten Christmas (ft. Urwritten Law)

So are there anymore?

Okay, first things first, when you say you have all four albums, we understand that you have all of their main songs so don't ever waste that much space again, second of all, you said Summer twice, third of all the following songs have NOTHING to do with Sum 41:

Kick Me When I'm High (SR-71)
Leavin' On A Jet Plane (a live song from NOFX, originally by John Denver)

and to answer your question yes, you missed some:

Walk This Way (ft. Ja Rule, Nelly, and DJ Clue)
Enter Sandman (part of the Metallica Medly involving For Whom the Bell Tolls)
Rock You (I believe originally by Helix, they have a version)
That's Alright Mama (Elvis cover)
Rock Medly (ft. Rob Halford and Tommy Lee)
Lust for Life (live with Iggy Pop)
and they did some solo from a song I've never heard before, I can't help you with the name of it

I have no ideo, they also made a song in 1998 called Astronaut, I have the tape that has it on it, it's really rare, but I can't get the whole song on my comp or give it to anyone, and anything you find on the internet over it is just part of the song

Well what tape did you get it from? Also if you don't know where I can get the songs, how do you know them? I tried bearshare, but nothing came up. Got any suggestions?

the tape is called Punk No Die, and it's really rare, I got it from eBay really luckily. I don't know where you can get them, but I've been lucky enough to find them along the way

how long is Astronaught? I some how got a holf od it, but it's only like 45 seconds. what tape is it from?

yeah, it's like, a little over 2 minutes or something like that, not too long and not too good, but still worth it

EDIT: guys, I'm grounded, so I won't be on for awhile unless I get on at school, so I'll leave you with one last news update, the live cd/dvd called Happy Live Surprise has been post poned from coming out today untill December 21st maybe later, sorry

EDIT: whichever songs you want dude I'll post them, so just ask

Okay, I'm posting twice because editing posts (while being a stupid idea in the first place) doesn't bump up threads to let someone know that something in the thread has been changed

if you want any of those songs you can't find anywhere then I'll give them to you (sum41fan)

Im amazed there are still die hard Sum 41 fans, I used to be obsessed with them, I learned all of the albums (and then some) on drums, but then I realized, that Dave is really the only one with any amount of "star worthy" talent, and then It kicked in that, they are main stream, why would I bother listning to music that sounds like every other song on the radio, Im not gonna lie to you guys, you ahve to start listning to real music, stuff that takes talent to paly, and actually means somthing. Yeh, its pathetic that I came here just to post this, but It had to be siad, Sum 41 is a main stream band (not bad, just main stream) and its pathetic to see people who ahve there lives revolve around them.

Right. So because there is so many musicians coming up with so many different melodies that every single song in the entire world will sound completely and entirely different. That's so totally true. I mean, never in a ka-zillion years will we ever have a song that sounds almost, but not quite, similar to the other. Hey, I'm sure Bitter End was six or seven minutes long, with even really long riffs. Someone should screw the tuning because we don't want two A's sounding the same, oh the shame!

Oh yeah, and the ABCs ripped off Twinkle Twinkle Little Star? Holy cow!

Reign In Pain (Heavy Metal Jamboree)
Noots

Bleed
How You Remind Me

Bleed isn't actually a song, it's just what some people call I'm Not The One.

There is also the song - Kick Me When I'm High, off the Dude Where's My Car soundtrack

I don't like Chuck as much as the others. The first 3 were the shiz. Chuck had a few good songs, but most of them were meh. 88 and Pieces were my favorites.

I got that vid of them playing No Reason. It was pretty good.

I've grown out of Sum 41. I was really into them 2 years ago though. Hell Song and Makes No Difference got me into them.

Id rather not, you have to realise that ppl dont listen to music just for the 'talent' in it. THen everyone would be listenin to Jazz or Classical stuf, which takes a ****eload more talen and skill then rock, pop, metal etc. And just because a band is mainstream, it doesnt make it total crap, n not 'real' music. btw dave isnt that talented
Anyway i know they've released two singles from chuck, we're all too blame, n pieces. Have they released a third?

does anyone know what kind of guitars deryck and dave of sum 41 used in videos like fat lip? deryck had that red one with the red body and white pickguard, and flying v style headstock... dave had the orange one, which i think was a PRS...

pic of dave but not in color... (http://www.ulv.edu/ctimes/001006/face2face.jpg)
theres a good pic of dave (http://www.prsguitars.com/artists/sum_img/sum4.jpg)

just about the best pic i can find of deryck (http://img128.imageshack.us/img128/3882/deryckguitar5dg.jpg)

I call them 'Sum 41'. I really don't like the whole genre thing. It's not what genre you like, it's what bands/singers you like. Well, that is just my opinion, each to his (or her) own.

B
03-23-2006, 07:34 PM
Actually it is genres. How do you think people find or recommend music? "Oh I like a lot of post-rock stuff" "Oh ok, try some Explosions In The Sky"

It's much easier than just trying random bands :-\

This has actually been discussed 2,000 and a half times, and No Reason always wins, and I always say that I prefer 88 over it and someone usually quotes my post saying "No way, No Reason's the best" and I always say "Okay, but I still prefer 88" and that's exactly how it would play out if we did it again

DJ Ducksauce

I'd go with you Richard. I like 88 better than No Reason. No Reason is really catchy though.

Does anyone know what is going on with Sum 41 at this particuallar moment in time?

Coz they're not tourning, that I know of... And havn't been for quite some time.

So, are they just taking a break, or maybe writing a new album?

I just wanna know what to look forward to in the future...

Pazz
04-05-2006, 02:07 PM
They wouldn't be working on a new album so soon. They also aren't on tour. So I imagine they are taking it easy.

because the song 32 ways to die from HHOP is a huge long drum solo, and he's the drummer

By the way, they are on break right now, although they are writing material for a new album, but they're not pushing trying to get it done, they're just slowly working their way towards it while enjoying life as it comes to them
