The bass is the backbone to any band or song. It makes it feel more than background music, it gives it a feeling that neither guitar or drums give.

I've been downloading countless Sum 41 Live performance videos onto my comp and it's amazing did you guys know they did Walk This Way (Aerosmith cover) with Ja Rule, Nelly, and DJ Clue? I thought it was pretty cool, cause for once the rappers were on beat because they didn't write the song

also I listened to Chuck again today and I heard things in it that I've never heard before, I realized how much better these guys were at writing songs then I ever thought they were (even though I've thought they were amazing for a long time now)

My only complaint is Cone sucks. I don't care if it's Pop/Punk. Rancid has good bass. Green Day has Good bass. Offspring has Decent Bass. You can hardly hear Cone In Most songs.

those bands show off their bass, this band shows off their guitar, that's mostly why, if you actually LISTEN to cone's stuff, it's actually complicated sometimes

When the they were at the time of thinking of a name, Deryk (i think) brought up the idea of calling it 'chuck' and they all thought it was a good idea.

Well thats that. The "Go Chuck Yourself" world tour has finally come to an end! We'd like thank every one who came to our shows and bought "Chuck". We are going to take some much needed time off then start writing the new album. We are working on a Live DVD to put out in the future and also possibly a Live album. so we will keep u posted on that. Thanks again! And we love you Goons!!!!!

Sum 41 has put together a documentary about the effects of war on children called SUM 41 IN CONGO. The band made the 30 minute special after their life-altering encounter in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), which the band visited last year. Sum 41's experience in the war torn nation and their harrowing evacuation from the country are all captured on film in this amazing show.

The show will premiere on MTV on Wednesday, Sept. 21st at 7pm EST.

I got "Over My Head (Better Off Dead)" and "My Direction" demos a while ago, and they are really good. I love Sum 41, even though I barely play them enough nowadays.

I think I've outgrown all their albums, but they are still one of the best pop-punk mainstream bands I know.
