Well, seeing as this is DIY, I say you make them yourself. Honestly, Plaid material can't be all that hard to find. Learn to sew, it's a very helpful thing to know.

That stuff will screw up your scalp and give you flakes. Use styling glue if you want to use glue. It lasts for a few days and washes away with water.

Ok, well just go find some red plaid pants and get some zippers and stuff and sew it all on, don't try to make them yourself unless you're used to sewing or it will be a big waste of time.
Plus, the reason Tiger of London is so expensive has to do with:
1. they're shipped in from england
2. handmade (this is the main reason)
3. and they have a lot of zippers, which aren't incredibly expensive but probably adds a bit to the price

Ehh, making a pair from the bare materials is a lot harder than it sounds. Especially if you want them to be tight, and not completely fall apart.
But, If you wanna alter a pair that's already been made:
Try and find some old person golf-type pants at a thrift store, I know a few people who've actually found some cool looking plaid pants this way. Some hot topic stores also sell plaid pants, they're just kind of baggy. The solution here is to put them on inside out, pin down a seam going up the sides (make sure can still bend your legs and squat and stuff, so you don't look like a douche later), then sew up the seams from the outside.

@ chairman_of_the_board, thanks I never thought about ebay, but what do you mean "like I said"?
@asdf23, I probably wont try to make pants from just the sheets of material, and actually I did have a hard time finding plaid, when I was looking for it for my coat, no one had it, I don't know why...ragshop and Michaels didn't even have it...
@ratsinthecity403, I could do that...were would you get plain plaid pants, though?

Well, I allready know how to sew. Hand sew and machine sew. I've known since I was 5. But I bet it's possible to get instructions online. I also know that they sell cut-out paper templates at fabric stores that my mom has used to make me some pants.
And I guess it might be hard to find plaid material, which is odd. Check goodwill like someone else said if you want plaid pants or just any plaid material. I used plaid from an old pair of wrecked shoes to patch my jacket. Just be creative about it.

Practice. Practice. Practice.
Try only sewing it in a little bit. Or just pinning it on the inside at first, to see where you want it. Wear them, and see if it's too tight. You should be able to sit and such properly.

how do you not rip pants that you sew to be tighter? i sewed some and wore them today and within an hour or two the top of it ripped so i looked like and idiot with the top of them baggy and the bottom tight...
Yeah, I had a problem with the stitching breaking. I stitched it like 4 times and it held up but I don't wear them that often.

I'm assuming you're talking about a mohawk.
With mine I hair sprayed it up because it drys fast, then use glue to re-inforce/perfect it. It's not too hard to get out, but then again, who needs to get it out?

i used glue to spike my hair and i just put half a bottle of conditioner on my head, let it sit sit on my head, then i washed it out but u have to do it a couple of times. dishwashing detergent also works but isnt that stuff toxic or something? but i wouldnt use glue its too sticky and dries right away even before I could spike it how long does soap stay up for

Pushing them in by hand and bending the prongs back with your fingers, or some sort of hard flat object if you can't do it by hand.
If the stud can't make the hole, use something narrow and sharp to start the hole to help the stude,

Prime it first of course, and use a paint for metal, probably automotive paint. It will not cheap unless it is really banged, hit, scratched, and just plain beat up.

Well, I've said it before in this thread, so I'll just go dig up what I said before:
I also make my own patches. The way I do this is I print out the image that I want from my computer onto some cardboard-ish material. Then I cut the image like a stencil and use fabric paint. Fabric paint pens work a lot better then just bottles of fabric paint, but they run out much faster.

Well, glue would ruin it too, any thing you put on this jacket you wont want to take off. Sewing would make holes in the jacket and glue would leave yucky dried up glue. if its not commimg off id suggest using both.
Really are you going to want a misfits patch maybe 3 years from now?

Leave the jacket how it is,thats my opinion. But, if you put something on it, put an original patch. What I mean by this is make your own design with fabric or Sharpie markers. Thats what im doing.
