we have alot of drugs, but thats about it. I live in the middle of where white rich kids have to much money and nothing to do. unfortunately im one of them, but with out the drugs.
actually the police here are really good at hiding crime rates and stuff. where i live is one of the best places to live in MD, but people who live here all know that theres a crap load of drugs and a few "gangs" around some areas.
My school has that hat rule, they even took out hat day cause it causes "gang" violence, because a kid wearing a Santa hat represents the north side gang. but because of that hat rule i cant wear my bowler.

at my school you arent allowed to have anything gang related too. theyre dumb about it though. if you have 2 different colored shoe laces thats gang related. insignificant **** like that they claim it to be gang related.
so...
i made a gang related shirt and im starting a gang related gang! its just a stencil in regular font that says "gang related" and im going to make everyone shirts and hopefully everyone will wear them to school.

My skinhead friend is nearly regretting getting a chelsea cut just as the winter weather was approaching. I thought it was a bit silly in the first place but I didn't stop her.
There's no rules about hats at my school, but occasionally there's the spatula teacher that makes it a rule for their classroom. This year for a change, none of my teachers care, so I can wear my tophat without fail.
I'm jealous. But can the people sitting behind you still see while you're wearing a tophat?
I'm jealous. But can the people sitting behind you still see while you're wearing a tophat?
Generally if I feel like that's going to be an issue, I'll take it off. But more often than not it's not becuase I'm short and I slouch when I sit, or I often sit in the back of class.
I love my tophat.

I heard about this from a real life skinhead who cited a real life skinhead zine.............
My skinhead friends don't get involved with the whole shoelace meanings thing. They know about it and what some of them mean in various places, but they really don't care and think it's a waste of time.

They don't feel afterwards though. You're cold and have to deal with wet hair. But that's my only complaint about showers.
Yeah, I've noticed that you feel a little weird the day after not showering, but after that you get used to the slightly dingy feeling, and you can go several days without anyone noticing. And like eran said, it's nice that your hair is less dry.

I'm pretty much the same way. My hair looks a lot better when I haven't showered and have slept on it for a couple days, but if I go too long, a little bit of dandruff starts up. I usually have a couple days between showers.

Take Unaccompanied Minors for a second.
I havn't seen the movie, but you don't need to to note the following:
~Bunch of kids, stuck somewhere unfavorable
~Mean ole adults trying to ruin their Christmas or whatever
~The kids are right, the adults are wrong
~The kids win by banding together to overthrow the rule the adults have imposed on them.
Oragnized anarchy, no?
Happy Feet:
~Old, Christian white penguin guy is all like "Dancing is wrong and lame and stupid"
~Young "non-conformist" penguin dances and eventually saves the colony
~Penguin #2 overthrows penguin #1's rule with the help of the other penguins.
There's a million examples of it in the media.
Like the hypocricy of TLC?
They have a commercial..thing..like "Think for yourself," blah blah blah.
And the actor they chose to do it?
Clinton Kelly, the guy from What Not To Wear.
I could go on for hours, but I'll stop here.

My hair is thicker than yours and it doesn't do that. Try going for a week without washing it at all, see if it gets better. For some people, their hair gets greasier if they keep washing it.
I have a bigger problem with deoderant. It's just not a habit like teeth brushing so I dont apply everyday. Proabably 5 times a week though so it's not like I have bad BO.
I've put deodorant on once in the last year and a bit, and that wasn't even for the smell, it was 'cos I was in Israel and the sticky armpits were driving me nuts and chemical deodorant dries them out (which isn't very good for me, but neither are drugs).

Here's a DIY tip for anyone living in London: Ever wondered how to put old bus passes to good use in saving you money? Hold them upside down and at an angle, and when you get on the bus and hold it up for the driver's scrutiny, try to walk on the right side of the door (ie. the side furthest away from the Oyster reader). I've been going almost two weeks without paying for busses, using the same bus pass.

A capitalist company is evil.
Then you shouldn't ride the bus at all. But just reaping the benefits of what you call an evil company without paying your fair share is wrong. Not to mention how closed-minded that is, it's basically the same as the US invading Viet Nam just because we didn't like communism.

No, because I can see capitalism oppressing people at every turn, it's not a system that's sometimes good and sometimes bad.

Free bus pass ;)
Do you think if I drop out of college it will feed back in any way to TFL? I live on my free bus pass, gahhh
Flagjacket

Haha to that bus pass thing,I read about someone in some city where the drivers barely even look at bus passes, and they had a contest to see who could get on the bus with the weirdest item, and someone waved bread at the driver and was allowed onto the bus.
I like my busdrivers, so I don't rip them off.

So. Belts.
There's the obvious ones, like shoelaces/string tied around one's waist, plain and simple.
There's also other easy little things, like t-shirt scraps sewn/braided/twisted/whathaveyou together.
Tape, of course, that's a given.
But what else might be used to hold one's pants up?
DaveToopes
12-16-2006, 10:44 PM
My belt is this nylon thing that was the belt for my old hockey pants. It works pretty well. My brother made a belt a while ago with some nylon and these plastic clips, the ones with three prongs on the phallus like end, and the other, vagina like end is hollow and the outer clips on the former part snap out the sides of the vag.. Lately?
...ok, a while ago =P. I just think it's becoming rather useless, when way back when, it used to be really helpful.

Well you have to actually ask questions if you want it to be useful.

Nah I've got it under control. I've messed around with basses quite a bit so I think I got it under control. Playing a fretless is verry nice, because it feels so much more natural. Right now the spiky body is retarded looking and uncomfortable and the single P- pickup in the neck position sounds really bad, so I've gotta work on the body

I love playing fretless.

I re-stitched a patch on my bag, and cut the peak off of my peaked beanie then stitched it up with a big needle and wool, cos peaked beanies are lame and I might need something to cover however my hair is at school next year if my admins don't like it.

You guys ever make pants? I want to, I just don't wanna spend cashola on material that I'd end up wasting. Any tips for some really simple pants?
bigblondeafro87
12-24-2006, 08:28 PM
I dunno it can't be too hard. If you have any spare canvas or any cloth you could experiment with making the legs and everything, then just buy some denim or whatever when you think you're ready

If you don't have a sewing machine I would advise against it and instead go to a thrift shop and get a cheap pair there.

I found a shop that sells counterfeit versions of the pants i wear for $10NZD rather than $60NZD for the ones I already have.
I shall be stocking up, soon.

I think mine is different than your typical silk screen kit. It says you can use images printed out from your computer and somehow get them onto a screen... I have no idea how to use this yet.. I think I'll be taking my first attempt sometime tommorow.

My friend had one of those. Also, his bass was red, so he used red sharpie to fix little dings in the finish. Then he painted it white all by himself but it looked great.
