i just noticed that i didnt cut a little box on the right side. it just did it so its actually symetrical(sp?) now.
It looks pretty sweet. And for the box, did you mean above the right one's hand?

Sucks to find out the hard way.
Try Acetone, it might help with getting the paint off, not sure if it will be usable afterwards, though.

If you use a razor that's meant for girls it's almost impossible to get cut or have bad razorburn. Just be sure to use shaving cream, too.
That isn't the problem, by risk I meant getting a girl who doesn't like it :p
But chest hair = nono, feel so much sexier without it :greddy:
I need to either buy some women's razors, or get my beautician friend to epilate it, I'm sick of razor burn.

yeah. i dont really care though i just bought a smaller foam roller and a bunch of replacement foam things. i made a llama king shirt for my friend white on a black shirt and it came out ok ill post pictures of it later. its the first white on black shirt ive ever done so im pretty happy with it. i used a big *** wool roller so it didnt come out as even as i would have liked but its pretty sweet regardless.

i am thinkign of making a GBH patch for city baby attacked by rats. i am going to start the design and post it soon.
I did my GBH thing on my jeans freehand, it was too simple to justify stencilling.

so,
its cold as **** at my school, and im not paying $60 for a school sweatshirt that ill only wear at school. i traced my friends soccer sweater and bought a plain grey sweater for $6 and stenciled it up.
heres what my friends looks like (the real one):

heres what the one i made looks like:
front:

back(i had to throw my tag on it somewhere):
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d172/pointless5448/IMG_0557.jpg
so for homecoming week at school i made a flag for seniors and it was the first time that i ever did anything white on black. the picture is from my phone which is why it looks double.
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d172/pointless5448/1001061602.jpg
and today i did the llama king shirt which was my first white on black shirt.
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d172/pointless5448/IMG_0555.jpg
i used a tremendous wool roller which is why i think it didnt come out that well but i got a small foam roller today. tomorow ill be testing it out with this stencil:

any tips for taking jeans in? (making them tighter)
i bought a pair of "mission blues" (never heard of it) at a pawn shop to benefit a local organization, but they're wicked big, like i could fit a leg twice my size in it. do i just turn them inside out, measure, and sew straight then cut the excess off? or is it more comlicated? How does one do the.. groinular area? just take it up to the crotch seam?
damn i need to learn more about this stuff.. but when i google it i just get girls jeans and "tips on how to make your thighs look slimmer". not exactly what i was looking for...
anyway, yeah any help would be appreciated.

Lol Jon, one extremist in a protest doesn't represent it. Yesterday there was a guy comparing Israel, the US and the UK to the Nazis, doesn't mean we all thought it was true. Do you see anyone else shouting "Bomb Denmark so we can take their wives as war booty"? No, it's just one idiot with everyone else looking at him strange. You keep doing this, you find the worst image you can and you stereotype everyone you don't like to that image.

When I did it with my friend, we photocopied the image onto acetate (I think it sounds better pronounced ***-eh-tight) and then put it on the screen with a very bright like shining into it, to expose it onto the screen (there may have been a chemical involved, can't remember, was more concentrating on rolling the next joint than learning anything).
Are you australian or something =/
Why do you have to expose it and stuff? Surely you can just snip out the bits to show, as per usual?

What bin Laden did isn't half as bad as what the US has been doing to the Middle East for the last 60 years. Not to mention the rest of the West.
Not that I'm defending bin Laden, mind you, in fact I don't believe in violence no matter what the reason. But at the very least, you at least have to concede that these people have a reason to be so upset. It's not because they hate our freedom. Wait, what thread is this again?

There are two main methods with silkscreening: One is where you cover a screen with light-sensitive emulsion, and then expose it against a positive image; the other involves adhering a negative image that's water soluable to the screen.
The first method is the most professional, but it takes more equipment (emulsion, scoop coat, plus an exposure unit & wash out stand if you wanna get fancy). I guessing you're doing the second method, which is simpler -- I don't remember if the water-soluble stuff is called acetate but it might be. the stuff I'm thinking of is green. But yeah, if you know what to do, definetely cut out the stencil. Cause then you'll actually be able to make the screen next class.
You want one color because it's simpler. You only need one screen, and you don't need to worry about registering the image and making sure everything lines up. Also with multiple colors you'd preferably have a carosol stand, which, again, is more complex and expensive.
Last night I made a Limp Wrist shirt and stenciled some folk punk designs onto a hoodie. Big Defiance Ohio logo across the back, and Ghost Mice plus Mischief Brew on the front pockets. Plus a logo of two figures holding hands in the shape of a heart on the left chest. I think it's for riot folk. I've got a bucnh of silkscreening projects lined up for when I have a few free days. The first thing's going to be a Witch Hunt peace sign backpatch/shirt.

This weekend there's something called the "really really free market" happening. It's basically a big gathering of anarchist-inclined peoples to exchange goods and services, and to just hang out. I'm (hopefully) going to go & set up a stenciling demo. I'm hoping to have some supplies and a handout I can give out.

I don't think either of them is what we did =/
Here are the images.
First one - considering its my first silkscreening, its way too complicated and I screwed up the stencil many times I'm quite proud of it.
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y194/jondz3003/print001.jpg
Second one, half done. Got the black stencil done but didn't have time to print it.

will be
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y194/jondz3003/lamf1.jpg
We made stencils out of newsprint (basically really thin paper, A2 size) as you do, held them to the bottom of the silkscreen, put a blank piece of paper underneath, put in on top and wiped it across =/

This weekend there's something called the "really really free market" happening. It's basically a big gathering of anarchist-inclined peoples to exchange goods and services, and to just hang out. I'm (hopefully) going to go & set up a stenciling demo. I'm hoping to have some supplies and a handout I can give out.

I saw a quote recently, possibly it was Martin Luther King, that said something very wise and true about work in our society. I just can't remember it. "If you give a man a choice, to work or die," then something about coercion. Not sure. Either way, I'm not working, I'm making money. Work is about creation. This job is so debasing, to me, not because of having a boss (the bosses aren't so bad, they're pretty much just slightly older than all the workers and get paid another fifty pence an hour), or any other "punk" reason, it's debasing because what we are doing is not helping anyone, anywhere, in a significant way.
I don't know what ACAB means Jonnie, but I'm not writing it on cops stations. Cops have to stand enough ****ing bullshit from their bosses (eg. they're constantly being promised raises which never appear, while the MPs vote to give themselves a raise, and the cops aren't allowed to strike or have a union), they don't need some punkarse kid consolidating the belief that what they are doing is right.
And stop shouting about how I'm complaining I don't like this job. I'm not complaining, I just wanted to make the post DIY-based, instead of just posting "I got a job". It got some funny ideas, either way.

Eran where do you work? and I thought anarchists don't work?
I work in a call centre for Bracken Bay Kitchens Design. Today was alright, I only got two bytes towards the end of the shift and the boss kept giving me these little pep talks that went something like Hint Of Getting Fired > Don't Wanna Fire You > You Need More Bytes > No Bytes From You Means Trouble For Me > I Like You Eran, Please Get More Bytes > I Believe In You, Now Get Back To Work. It was funny. Me last byte, the guy who answered the phone finished off the last sentence in my script for me, turns out he works there as well, so I had a short conversation with him, asked him what the catch is (well, we're offering free kitchens, there must be a catch), and in the end he offered to give me a byte, so that I get the 8 quid. Real nice guy, forgot to ask his name.
Anarchists do work Kevin, it's kinda important for us not to bum off of other people's labour (like the bosses do:p).
1) Where did you go? I saw you for like 5 seconds at the beginning of my shift but then you disappeared
2) You don't get £8 for bytes, you get £8 for every byte that converts into an immediate appointment.
3) I didn't get anything for 2 hours today, then 2 bytes in a few minutes, of which 1 converted to an Imm, so I got my £8.
Compared with the guys sitting next to me who each got >10 bytes, but no bonus because no Imms.

Only if you mix ganja with the tobacco, but usually it's just tobacco that tastes nice.
Those faux-Middle-eastern cafe places that rent hookahs are terrible, my friends always insist on going to one in Piccadilly Circus. I've never rented a hookah, or heard of a rented hookah, that was cheap. This place in Piccadilly that they think is so awesome and "chic" charges £12 a go, and you have to buy a drink each, and of course the drink prices are hiked up, so by the end of the hour you've collectively paid about £20 for one hookah. It's sad.

Mostly Goodwill, but the pipes and tubes were at the harware store. The bowl is actually like a weird funnel used to pour wine into bottles. I guess it's not truely a hookah since it doesn't use charcoal, it's more of a multi-user bong.

This is my friend Guzey. It came out a lot better than when I sprayed it onto my PE shirt.
I've decided to start selling these, because everybody has commented on how much they want one. It'll be 5 bucks a shirt, 2 dollars if they supply their own shirt to spray on. That buys a lot of pot.

The print came out pretty good, but you have to watch out for the over-spray, it just ruins the shirt. Next time, put newspaper anywhere that's not going to be painted on.

No you can't, even the cheapest of cheap charity and vintage shops around here have leather jackets for £40-£80, no less, ever.
Saying that, I got my white fringed cowboy jacket for £10, and my black trenchcoat for £10, but they're not very thick leather, and I was referring to biker jackets.
Saying that, Eran, if you ever see a leather biker jacket in a charity shop in my sizeish (34 chest maybe?) please tell me.
edit: to the guy that asked: leatherup.com if you're american.

I discovered an amazing discover that could revolutionise the stencilling world: Linoleum. Seriously, it's easy to cut, you can get shitloads of it in skips for free, and it rolls up neatly, so you can cut a massive stencil, spray it, roll it up and leggit all within 60 seconds.

How would I design the stencil that way? I'm familiar with the concept, I just can't visualize how I would make each layer.
Basically,
http://i12.tinypic.com/2iqyctw.jpg
One stencil of just the red, then either:
1) do a screen with the blue
2) a stencil of the whole quadrilateral area of the blue, and stencils of the stars on top.
