On the contrary, I think "how to spike your hair" is a good question.

1 get some gel
2 put some on your hand
3 run hands through hair
4 spike and style as desired

i sound like the back of a gel container

Not really, that's how I did mine when I had a 'hawk. I used hair glue instead of gel though.

well not when its more than 4 inches long, any kind of solid stuff will make it look retarded. if you're doing it by yourself you have to set down your blowdryer, spray, bend over, and smash your hair together while the blowdryer is drying. once you get used to it it takes anywhere between 10-20 minutes

some mod should make a DIY thread just for hair/ hair products so people would post there instead for people posting the same questions abt hair
Everyone who's bothered by questions about hair, note that there is no informative website that is very helpful. If you're that bothered, put one together and provide people with the link to it.

Kill me, no. But 20 minutes is way more time then I'd wanted to be spending fixing my hair. I mean 20 minutes isn't that long compared to the 24 hours that are in a day but it's a long time to be doing your hair in my opinion. I'm not trying to attack you and your hair I'm just saying I wouldn't want to spend that much time.

The Elmer’s white does but if you get to much extra it gets white and flaky, don't use the clear glue it is meant to be flexible so it doesn’t hold well. Oh whats a good way to get your mohawk straight when you do the fan?

Hair that takes 10-20 minutes to fix is just not worth it.
Are you kidding?

I'm no punk, but to backcomb and hairspray my hair and get it all hot and huge takes maybe 1/2 hour at least. Then figure another hour or two to get all the hairspray and knots out of my hair...

Its still worth it, I only do it once or twice a week anyway...

Some people may not go for it, but if you live in the countryside with no nosy neighbours, I suggest you make an outhouse. They're much better for you, for the environment, and it's relaxing to poop with the birds and the bees and the bunnies and the dear and other Disney-esque furry cutesies.

If you can't be bothered with cementing and whatnot, and I know I can't, do it the simple way.

Take a wheelie bin, build a platform of wood around it, with stairs leading up and a place for you to sit/squat (squatting is better). Build some walls around it, to make it into a cubicle. This is not so much for privacy as it is for stopping the wind from blowing 'round your privates. Don't worry about little cracks in the walls, they don't matter. Make sure you have a heavy-ish lid to cover the bin with so that rats and bugs don't get in and so bacteria don't get out. After every poop, pour some sawdust on it, and close the lid. The sawdust stops the smell and makes it harder for creatures to get at it. Toilet paper is ok to throw in there, but no tampons or stuff like that. It's better not to piss in there. I know a little bit of piss always comes out with a ****, but thats ok, just dont go in there purely for pissing. the ammonia just ****s it up later when you mix it in with the compost/manure. piss on your garden plants. empty the bin when it gets to 3/4 of the way up. be careful not to let it overflow, it has DIRE consequences. have green hygienic fun.
lol.

Post it, Vandalism how-to's are always fun.

Well, if you wanna block out a road, especially one with a police station, Territorial Army HQ(what I did), or a rich people's car park, chop up some 2by4 into little 2inch square, or something else discreet that won't snap if you stick a nail through it, then stick a nail through it. make sure it's not a pussy nail, but something at least 3 inches long, that way it will penetrate the tyres and cause a a car build-up. we did this outside a territorial army base in Stirling at the G8 protests, because we were told police re-enforcements are bunking up there. I don't know if they ever came out, but if they did they definitely got slowed down. if you're placing them in the daytime, paint it greyish or whatever colour you can find nearest to match the tarmac colouring. make sure it's right near the entrance, a fast car that gets punctured can crash easily and we wanna stop them, not kill them.

trains are easy, all you have to do is break a window nearest the door, run a chain through the window and in the open door, and padlock the ends together. that way you get a chain loop stopping the doors from closing, and as long as the door is open, the train won't run. you can also climb on top of the train afterwards, that gives the police even more hassle, because they have to call in a special climbing crew.

CCTV, the old-fashioned ones you can just bash, but some of the new round ones have strong glass around them. It's much more practical and safer for you legally if you get some spray paint and spray over the lense. with the round ones, make sure you sprayed over the lense, because sometimes oyu can't see the lense under the dark glass. it's also useful because it's easier to carry around a can of spray paint, and if you get caught, you're most likely going to a protest so you can just say you're gonna use it/you used it to make placards. thats what I did when I was arrested at the Disarm DSEi protests in London. I only thought of saying it after I'd been in the cell the whole day though, so I missed the action:angry:

you just have to be creative with most other stuff, just consider the consequences of something before doing it. lots of vandalism can hurt unintended victims.

I also have a few tips for when you're talking to the police. it's ok to talk to police when you're not protesting, they're just doing their jobs. at a protest, they're always trying to stop you getting heard, and are taunting you, and that's illegal internationally. I only know the rules with british police though:

you only have to do stuff if you are being detained or arrested.

if they arrest/detain you, they have to tell you why within 20 minutes, or you can go.

if you're detained/arrested, you only have to give your name and address. if you are under 18, it may help to give your DOB, it'll speed things up.

it's best to answer 'no comment' to anything they ask, and they will laugh at you about it being a cliche ans shi't like that. don't worry, they're just trying to break you.

if you do decide to talk to them, be VERY CAREFUL what you say, and how you say it, because they are trained to catch you out, and they are good at it.

NEVER run from the police, even if you were not doing anything wrong. if they're watching you, or are trying to come towards you without you noticing, just walk away, but DO NOT RUN!

a policeman without a uniform cannot detain you, and I don't think he can arrest you either.

if they claim they can do something that you think they can't (ie. order you to be escorted somewhere by them, block a road etc.), ask under what authority they're doing it. If they say Section 60 or Section 44, then they probably can do it. but still, ask to see proof. they have a little booklet that explains all the rules.

in Scotland, the police can confiscate anything that they think is going to be used partly or wholly to mask your identity.

don't be cheeky or abusive to a cop, especially if they haven't detained you or arrested you yet, flipping the finger is anti-social behaviour, and one too many flips will result in an ASBO.

if you're going out on a protest or a demonstration or a political action, take the number of a 24 hour attorney with you. write it on your arm.

if you have any tattoos and they are not on police record, a good idea would be to paint your whole arms black (if your arms have a tattoo), that way they can't tell, and paint just needs a little elbow-grease to wash off. also take out any piercings before an action.

if you have anything that might be used illegally on you, like spray paint, a knife, even a lighter, have an excuse ready. maybe even carry around a couple of cigarettes if you carry around a lighter.

it's also good to have a scarf with you. they are to a protester what a towel is to a hitchhiker. they can be soaked with vinegar or wrapped around an onion and are gas masks. they can hide you identity. they can be wrapped tightly like a bandage around a wound, or used to hold together a splint, and most importantly, they keep your neck warm, which keeps your throat warm and healthy if you've been screaming abuse at riot cops and shouting out political phrases all day.

EDIT: Oh, and if you're detained, they are allowed to hold you for a maximum number of hours, and then they either arrest you or let you go. if they haven't arrested you by then, then they probably won't arrest you. I think the maximum amount of time they can hold you was 6 hours, but it might have been 4. I forget.

a policeman without a uniform cannot detain you, and I don't think he can arrest you either.

That's the only one that seemed a little off. Britain may be different, but in the US as long as they show you a badge, they can detain and arrest you.

Another good tip, is if you are getting harrassed by one cop overly, at least in the US, ask for their badge number and you can use their reply against them to plead your case if something unlawful goes down.

I liked your tip about not running as well, too many idiots run when they see the police and that gives them more reason to arrest you. Don't be an a'ss to them and try to follow their orders within legal limits, because anything deviation you do just causes you more harm.

Sucks for them. Plain clothes cops make quite a few arrests over here. And most cops keep their badges with them 24/7, so they would be able to arrest even when not on duty, although that is rare.

For the record, its silkscreened, not spray painted.

And if anyone wants a shirt out of any of those I can print one up real easy for like a tenner, or a patch for a couple bucks. We also have a subhumans one, a cra'sshole records one, a couple meteors ones, a big flux of pink indians one, a The Red Chord one, a Number 12 looks like you, a Skeptix one, Mos Def, a couple graffiti ones, soon we'll probably do a johnny cash one, etc. Or I can do any large not too intricate design, think stuff off stencilpunx

Haha, I remember when I was 15, having a joint under the bridge in Camden (the alt/stoner centre of Britain, obviously) and we saw some policemen strolling towards us, maybe 200m away. I saw a glimpse of their uniform and sprinted maybe two metres before this stereotypical Rasta guy who was trying to sell us more weed made me stop, and walk off slowly and calmly.

I was such an idiot back then.

It actually works very good, but the paint does seem to kill the paper after awhile. But I have used them ALOT. The first Crass one I made is still useable, it's just extreamly delicate. Also, you need a very sharp exacto knife or the paper will tear. What do you print your stencils onto?

Everyone keeps asking how to acid wash, and no one knows. I don't even know what it means to acid wash jeans, but it sounds cool so I asked as well. and if whiteout is tippex, then no, it won't work, it will dry and flake off/come off in the wash.

tippex is the brand name of the white paint you use to wipe over any errors in a text and when it dries you can write over it. it's called tippex here.

Acid washing isn't really bleaching, it's lightening the jeans. It may be another term for bleaching, I don't know.

you're right its not exactly bleach...

A very successful wash and a controversial issue. World famous, acid wash was first commercialised by the Italian firm Rifle, at Inter-Jeans in 1986. It turned into a boom and proliferated in a number of variations, but the process was actually patented by the Italian Candida Laundry Company the same year. It consists of soaking pumice stones with chlorine and using their abrasive power to bleach jeans into sharp contrasts. Also known as moon, fog, marble, ice and frosted.

Hmm chlorine...

*Heads to the local swimming pool*

Oh no wait! Thats full of urine.

Home acid washing sounds a little out if its chlorine, although I don't know if the general public can legally buy chlorine or not...

I finally finished that Stencil Punx' Oi Polloi stencil (I only work well when it's sunny). It doesn't look that bad when it's sprayed. I also sewed my Gabba Gabba Hey patch onto my Ramones jeans and did an extremely magnivous stencil of DK from Stencil Punx. I couldn't find any Ramones stencils so I will try and make one. I'll post it if/when it is finished.

Here's a question.

Does anyone know how to shoplift from supermarkets? I'm against stealing from small independent shopkeepers, but I see shoplifting from places like Tesco and Asda a political statement, as well as making lunch. This could also include HMV, as I need some more CDs. Any tips, suggestions, what to watch out for?

It's what I get for using google images for the hand and using the first font that popped up on Paint. Of course, it's just a concept. If you can be bothered to monogram and stencil out a penis then that would be cooler.

Lolz. The only time I ever stole something was a chocolate bar from a local supermarket in my village in Israel when I was about 5, and got away with it. I felt so guilty I brought it back AND paid for it (just a few sheqels, but it was a lot if you only got 5 sheqels a week).

Get one of those dry clean sheets from the store, that you throw in the dryer and such and wash it that way following the instructions. That's how I was my jacket since the washer beats the crap out of it.
