meh i got a septum, before i got my ears. pretty weird lookin. i dont have the septum anymore, but i remember tears comin out of my eyes when i got it.
My friend Graeme has his septum done. When he's got a metal C-shaped nosering in it, it looks fine. First time I saw him though he had a black pointy one and it looked like he spiked his nosehairs.
that's when i do all my sewing and stuff. i don't think i've really bought new clothes since like 8th grade except a few things here or there. it's much easier (read: cheaper) to just fix them. except shirts, which i accumulate over time.
I'm thinking I'm gonna start buying some thrift store stuff and customizing it. I'm sick of the shirts in the mall/department stores. Also, I want bellbottoms. I like doing hand embroidery, so I could get some cheap stuff and put patterns and stuff on the edges like trim sort of.

I really need to start looking for a new jacket. Had a denim vest and pretty much ruined it with a horrible design. However now I've actually got the design down on paper, and there's less a chance of me completely ****ing it up this time, although it seems I need to be somewhat picky about the actual jacket. I'll go look for the design, I have it online somewhere or another.
Edit:
Here it is, I forget how to just put in pictures, havn't been here to often anymore. (http://tn3-1.deviantart.com/300W/fs7.deviantart.com/i/2005/207/b/6/Coat_for_Chris_by_Kairillian.jpg)

Ok i finally got pictures of my jacket
Back of jacket
front of jacket
All the paintings look ****ed up because of folds in the jacket.
Nice, did the jacket come with that white outlining or did you put it on? I was thinking about putting it on mine at some point, but thought it may be a bit much since I also planned on making the one sleeve of it red or grey plaid.

I've thought about getting one, I'm not really too sure though. I'd hate to shave 7/10 of my hair after growing it out this long, 'specially since I'm not even sure how cool it owuld look.
thats how i feel, im seriously thinking of getting one now but i'm not sure. I would hate to do it after all that and find out it looks stupid.

yeah, i hated it when my mohawk was lopsided, i eventually fixed that. and i was always worried that one of the spikes would just fall over. and i'd look like a jackass. i suppose part of it was because i didn't want other people to see me looking like an idiot, but i didn't want to look like an idiot whether or not other people saw me.

I just got done with mine and it hurts like hell.
I got my first one don at a pircing shop and the rest i did whith a hollow needle (like the ones the docters use) i foun the ones i did my self hert less and healed way faster if you use a hollow needle there is also no problem with getting the ring or stud through because you can stick it into the hole in the needle then pull it back through and the stud goes in with it also the best place to by needles is at a farm store they always have needles for cows and horses and what not and there cheep

Veterinary stores sell them. I know a lot of egg artists use them to empty eggs. Just shove a syringe in and pump in air if its a small gauge or use it to suck out the egg if it's a large gauge

I tried out my first BOTAR stencil the other day on an old crappy shirt. I did one side with just the guitar logo, then I finished making the stencils for the letters, then I did the other side with the logo and the letters. The wings came out good, but the guitar was pretty bad. The letters all came our okay except for the R.

Yeah, print-outs usually work better for tougher designs. Though getting larger images is usually alot tougher, as ye have to print multiple pages of sections just for one design, but it's usually worth it.

For those suggestions of just using dye to dye that denim, it ain't gonna work, ye gotta bleach it well before ye can dye it. If ye use black dye it'll just make it purple. Hell, Dickies has a good black denim jacket for $30, but yea, ye gotta realize blue is denims natural color, so bleaching is the only way to get it white. Spraypaint is too tricky a method, something involving spraying, than washing, than spraying again, somethign along those lines. I say just bleach it. Just read the bleach's instruction, I'm sure it says how much to use for a denim jacket, if not, google it.

Yeah, I know that, although ye gotta consider a few things:
1) This dude probably isn't vegan.
2) I'd think it's safe to say that jacket is fairly new

We have lyrics that could fit in with horror punk, some that are political, and some other mindless fun stuff. Feeling that we could play many of these genres naming ourselfs has been hard. go to michaels or some craft store, ask for fabric paint, there should be an aisle. i wouldnt use anything that sprays, it wont turn out as good as regular fabric paint. also, use a brush, or even better, one of thoe roller things. always remember to wash it, it will get stuck if you dont.

Well if it's for only a few shirts then use iron on, because DIY silksceening that would end up way more time and effort than would be worth it (with the grey shades you'd have to do a 2 color print, plus you'd need 2 screens with photo emulsion). If you want a lot made and are willing to spend more money, then you could get a company to do it for you.

Or if you plan on making patches you can buy (water based) screen printing fluid which you can use with a paintbrush. If you're going to be making shirts of using it on anything that needs to be flexible, then you should buy paint or something. Water based ink isn't very flexible and it cracks (especially black on white), but I'll bet it's a lot cheaper than buying little cans of paint, plus it dosen't wash out once you iron it into the fabric (about 2-3 minutes). Don't buy plastic based ink because you need a machine to make it work.

If you end up doing the stencil, make sure you use tape (preferrably double sided) and tape the stencil down, that way you have really well defined lines and don't get a lot of fuzziness in detailed areas. Sticker paper would probably work too.

I have an idea.
A while ago I was reading this anarchist newsletter that came with an Aus-Rotten LP, and it had a listing of a bunch of things people could go to, like classes or activities. So I got the idea of maybe holding some sort of silkscreening/pin making event sometime, so a lot of kids from the SLC scene could all hang out an make merch. I can handle expenses and stuff, but has anyone ever organized any sort of event?
I'd need a place to hold it, so all I can think of is renting out a park pavillion. I basically need somewhere with some electrical outlets, and a place to wash off screens.
So any ideas/suggestions? Has anyone had any experience with organizing things other than shows?

OK DIYers, help me out here.
Where can I get some red and black zebra print fabric from in London or online? (No I'm not punk :p)
Basically I had a spark of genius
http://www.mydivascloset.com/netarmwaglin.html in red
http://www.mydivascloset.com/netarmwain3c.html in black
And tie a very slashed and frayed strip of red and black zebra (or leopard I guess) print around the seam.

Its got no boundaries and no set positions, and you just divide up the number of people you have in half and all of them are on the field at one time. Normal no hand/contact rules apply, but other than that rules like offsides, etc don't apply.
So its basically the soccer you played in 6th grade. At least if you went to a bilingual elementary like I did.

pssh, you must be way behind the curve, that was like 3rd grade for me.
and for the record, there are no patches that cause anarchy. sadly.

You print it out, then cut out the black part.
If you want you could cut out the black part of the stencil over some cardboard, then the stencil will last longer.

Some of them look quite complicated and intriquite. Also would be hard to do, like when the black parts don't connect.

Maybe I looked at one wrong, it just looked the way to was designed, if you cut it out, it wouldn't work.
I'm defintely trying some of these out, like the capitalism one.

Yeah, that's an awsome site. I <3 mole now. I've been wanting to make some stencils for a while now, I've just been too lazy to make/find anything. This helps alot.
Now I just need to find a good way to make the stecils hold up to spraypaint. 'guess I'll try duct tape, but I may have to do it twice, once onto computer paper, then again onto some poster board, because thick paper won't run through my printer.
