Hello folks.

This idea popped into my after the AIM thread. This is the merge of my old thread and the new, so some people who never posted names are still up there.

This is what you do. You can post just your soulseek name (include if you are list only etc.) so people know where to find you. Along with your name you can post any albums or bands you are looking for over Soulseek. If you are looking through the thread and you see something you have that somebody needs, reply to them saying you've got it, and put your name so they don't have to search for it.

I also recomend if you are list only and see somebody wanting something you have, and they put their name (like they should) you can add them then, so they can straight away start browsing you.

We can all also meet in the room on Soulseek for MX called allthehubub (case sensative)

YAY I just configured my router so that I can download off everyone, and vise versa.


What does it say when you try to get into someones file list noneed?

If it says "Error Attempting to Retrieve File List"(or something along those lines) it mean you are behind a router or firewall and cannot access their list. if it says "No Files Shared" it means that the only share to people on their buddy list and you aren't on it.

do you know their user name? if so, up at the top, there's a button that says user list. if you don't have the user list (it's got a column titled "user" and a column titled "files" and so forth), hit that button. you should then have the user list. right click on the user list and hit "add user" - and then just type in the name. when they appear on your user list, right click their name (assuming they are online - blue icon = online, red icon = not). go to "browse files." and enjoy.

if you're just looking for a certain band/song/whatever, go to the thing at the top that says "search" and type in what you want. when you find it, you can browse the user's files, download certain files, or download directories containing the files you've found.
