I have less than a week left of holiday, but I might as well be at school to be honest, have an obscene amount of work to do. ~frantically types about the Hajj~
My hands are also in quite a lot of pain due to skin peeling off after allergic reaction to sunscreen. Can't play guitar too well right now :upset:

Ummm, I am finally starting back at my old job on monday. I finally got it back after having to move back here from Brisbane months ago. I have finally recovered completely from my back injury (only took 5 months!), and I am really excited about working back at the video shop.
I was supposed to be seeing Missy Higgins and The Mint Chicks next week, but my brother missed out on tickets for Missy, and the Minties gig was cancelled due to the venue receiving way too many noise complaints.
I have had a halt on recording my stuff for a couple of weeks now, because I have been sick, and unable to sing up my normally average level.
Last week I bought an electric organ, and I am starting to learn piano.
I talk a lot, but there is a bit going on right now, and it looks like I am finally putting the negative stuff behind me. :)

Well, if you don't have an idea of what the Philippines looks like, I guess you could say the capital, Manila, where I used to live, is the most western-influenced place there, or in Asia for that matter. There's the 2nd largest mall in the world(I miss Philippine malls:upset: ).For the most part, it's pretty polluted, has a corrupted government and its in a pretty bad shape right now for a 3rd world country. Yeah, it's pitiful, that's why we moved here.
But I still miss my friends and everything cool there(especially my g/f, we're falling apart:(:(:( ). I'm definitely gonna go back there for college and hopefully settle there for good..

Just started my third term of college. I'm in a community college right now, but I'm going to transfer to a real university after a few more terms and major in Music Technology. Aka, recording studio stuff mixed with a regular basic music degree.
The only problem is choosing between piano or jazz guitar. The piano audition will probably be easy, even though I haven't played much in years... But I want to go with jazz guitar (it's either that or classical for guitar), and that requires a prepared song to play and the ability to improvise and so on. I barely know any theory, let alone anything like jazz.
My Visual Arts professor this term has a mullet. How cool is that?

I start at a new school tommorrow. Normally I'd be a little bit nervous and excited, but this year I really have nothing to look forward to. My school is full of idiots, there are only about 400 kids and I live in the "ghetto" part of town so it's pretty much 90% ghetto kids. On the bright side, there's a slight chance I just might meet someone new that I don't utterly hate. If I dont' then oh well, it'll just be the same as always and I'll be getting this high school crap over with.

f*ck talking about school. i'm in love with a gutter punk that lives on the other side of the river (i live in kansas city, mo, and the mo river runs through the center of our city) and can only see him by chance, on weekends. even then, there's that whole issue of being at the right place at the right time, because he doesn't have a phone, and rides his bike everywhere. f*ck. also, the filling in my tooth fell out today. i was eating a heath bar, and it just f*cking crumbled out.

Yeah Shmamyamalan is super overrated. Sixth Sense and Unbreakable are pretty good, but Signs is stupid. He's got a swerve fetish. He's probably like that all the time. Like, "I'd like to order a cheeseburger... HAHAH! SWERVE! I WANT A BIG MAC! Oh man I totally had you going there!"
I will say that the Village was visually really good, but other than that it was suckful.

I've never seen that, but it sounds scary as hell. Personally I think that Shymalan (sp?) is very overrated as a director. Signs was pretty bad, and The Ring really dissapointed me.
Yeah the original was more psychological, chilling and inferred and left you with poop in your pants. the US version I still liked but it went too far in making the story a bit more obvious for general consumption. Less is more imho.
signs was actually quite funny, was it meant to be scary?? lol.

Japanese horror movies was really a fad back home, and for me, they're scarier than most horror/suspense films right now. If you can get hold of a copy of The Ring trilogy or The Grudge(part 1), good for you. Good luck sleeping with the lights out though. Speaking of movies, anyone like The Butterfly Effect? I'm still thinking it over though, it's either you or Kif. You should spend more time here ya know. I sense a lot of Alt/Indie in you.

Na I think it is out of Kif Joel or Commie. It will be exciting to see who gets picked, and if Mx will actually mod them.

That's awesome. I was just wondering if this forum had a mod-voting too..hmm

That would be good.
There needs to be another mod for this forum. How do we nominate or whatever?

A poll won't work, and(if all goes well) I think the pop-punk voting's fine, it's not too complicated.
How do we nominate or whatever?
Take it to another thread, and get all the regulars' attention.

But who should be mod...?

Everyone. I think all of the regular posters in here are worthy of modship. I suppose if it came down to it though, I'd vote Tangy or IHateUsernames

I'm voting for Commie. He is usually cool to everyone. Kif knows a lot but he was mean to me a few times :(

Yeah, this place could be a lot cleaner. I'm gonna try and start making some more decent threads.

I try but people ignore me
My JR Ewing, Icarus Line, Radio Death (my song), Rogue Wave, Pilot To Gunner, Dirty Three threads all went relatively unnoticed.

Not popular enough music, and a lot of people aren't open to new music.

I would look for some of that stuff online like I used to be able to do, but now I'm at college and they have a closed network. No P2P file sharing :upset:

Actually, I WAS a n00b ( ) last December. Then I got banned and made a new account a few months later.
I love you, Alt/Indie forum :)

Ah, touche.
I still wasn't necessarily a bad n00b though.
subject change:
I'm going to see Explosions in the Sky on the 8th in New York City. Is there anyone else going to their show that date and is there anyone that can tell me how great the show is?

I'm going to see them in October too, when they come to Toronto.
