Just got back from Fiona Apple/Coldplay. Fiona was good (I'm not really familar with her).

There was a long *** break before Coldplay, during which I talked to the drunk guy next to me who it turns out lives down the street from me, this is where the following took place:

him: "so what do you like to listen to at home"
me: "ehh...velvet underground"
him: "...velvet...underground"
me: "that is correct"
him: "...is that a genre or a musical group?"

and also just after the first 2 songs (Square One and Politik)

Chris Martin: "y'know this is the first time we've played this city (San Jose), and just like the first time you have sex you have to make it special, except the first time of sex usually doesn't last 1 hour and 45 minutes with an encore"

And now I shall try to come up with some sort of rough draft at 12:20, yay.

The only thing that nearly ruined the gig was the silly amount of really young children there who thought it essential to get to the front and cause mass pushing. I could barely breath for the first few songs and had to step back into some space.

That's the list of personal favorites from my 300 album collection :p. But seriously, just pick some names that sound appealing and All-Music them. If it sounds even more appealing based on the review, attack me on soulseek.

The LP did not exist back then. And to me it's all about Ellington, Louis, and Basie back then anyway.

I know that, I just thought you'd list some other artists before 1945. Nevertheless, it's a good one.

ELB is awesome stuff too.

I stuck to a pretty strict definition of jazz. You'll notice that nothing Miles did with his electric ensembles appears, nor does anything like Weather Report or Chick Corea's 70s work.

I hate how I can never bring myself to do homework on Sunday afternoons. It's a vicious cycle really. You figure, who wants to do work on a Sunday afternoon? So you save it for Sunday night, but who feels like doing work on a Sunday night?

Friday and Saturday night was Playfest at my school. Each grade writes and performs their own play. My grade has been the joke of playfest for the last two years - our plays were just that painful to watch. Therefore, my friends and I decided to write it this year for our grade (Juniors).

The Seniors have the star writer and all of the lead theatre kids, so they're basically a shoo-in every year. So, instead of making a theatre lover's play like them, we went all out with the Family Guy-esque humor to cater to the average high school student. Our thinly veiled sexual puns worked great.

There's a possibility I might be able to go to Tapey's gig now, but I'm really thinking that at the moment, it's not really worth it. I have to go with my uncle (so he can drop me at the train station at the end), which means I will have to buy him a ticket because he doesn't have too much money and if, by chance, it finishes too late, I will have to stay up in Brisbane for the night.

I would have seen Supergrass cuz they were opening for Radiohead, but I didn't make it in time.

**** man. You should have got your lazy *** there. That would have been a fantastic show.

When I saw Radiohead, I got to see a shitty Aussie band supporting. Still an awesome show though.

My house got robbed. :(

We lost my mp3 player, our digital camera, and various pieces of jewelry.

AOIUHLAHCOKAHCOIHYCHUURGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH

I had a good 150 albums on there that weren't backed up anywhere else...
Therefore, I no longer have them at all.

That ****en sucks, Bill.

Speaking of crime, I finally got round to watching Reservoir Dogs last night. It was decent, funny and well written, but the overall deal wasn't really that great.

It was pretty good, I thought, but I prefer Pulp.

Do you still only have the pants song, or have written any new ones?

Trumpet. I'll probably get some video up in the future.

We played that and another song called "Ska, Ska, Ska." We actually have had that second song more or less done since we recorded, and have a really rough recording of it too. It was ready for the Battle, though.

Specials?

We're unaware of any Specials song by that title, but we wouldn't be surprised. The song that appeared in our performance is an original.

Wait, you're right. The song I'm thinking of is "Jamacia Ska."

I was going to post a Clerks quote, too. But I got soundtracked, because I went to imdb, then saw the bottom 100, then looked through there for a while, then realized "holy crap i have to see some of these" then checked my myspace a few times then it was time for dinner.
