O..M...G! I seriously live in the ghetto.
There was like a barbeque across the street. I'm not racist, but for the purpose of this story, 30 black people in that yard. I hear a bunch of yelling, run to the window, there's a dude laying on the grass (shot?) 3 police cars, a patty wagon and a firetruck all ariving within like 2 minutes. People in handcuffs, etc... I have no idea what just happened, but it's fun watching

Alright, you guys probably don't care about my story from above, but the best part:

When there were like 8-10 cops investigating/handcuffing people, the dude who lived in the house that this was going on at grabbed his lawnmower and started mowing...with a dude still laying on the other side of the grass. wtf?

So yesterday I took a hour and a half drive out to San Francisco to see The Olivia Tremor Control play. It was a very enjoyable experience. My visual highlight of the evening was when Julian Koster went apeshit on a little plastic lamb toy for percussion. Koster was absolutely nuts the entire time. He was sweating like a hog, jumping around, playing banjo and his saw, absolutely nuts. My audio highlight evening was... I don't know, there were a lot. But hearing William Cullen Hart sing live was amazing. He has a wonderfully beautiful voice, exceptionally displayed on "I can smell the leaves." I was kinbda surprising at how hard they could rock at times. Especially on the older stuff.

The coolest thing was how they got along on stage. They would trade off on instruments, Hart would go play drums while Eric Harris would come out to shred, Koster would take over bass when John Fernandez got on his violin or his clarinet. Such a great team. My only disappointment was that they didn't close with "NYC -25." But it's all good.
