Review I Against I, Zappa.

JonM
08-09-2005, 10:56 PM
I think we need to have an emotional talk.

Zappa, do you hate me? I wish we'd just politely agreed to disagree about the thread I started. I like you, and I felt like I was actually starting to be-internet-friend you and then things got all weird. I can get over the other guys that said the same thing as you but in a less constructive way, but you're big-time, and you're a good discusser, and all I wanted to do was discuss something rather than simply rate favorite albums one to five.

I'm trying to not sound like I'm too overwhelmed with this, but that's hard to do, so I'll just flat-out say that I'm really not too worked up, I'm aware that this is a basically anonymous internet forum, and that this really doesn't matter all that much in the grand scheme of our real lives, but I like to think that Alt/Indie is a little bit more than that, and, well, it's sort of different with a mod. Normal people's respect drops for someone who falls out of a mod's good graces, you know? And that's because they, like I, have great respect for you, as the mod.

Anyway, I'm sorry my thread offended you. I'll try to be more concise next time, among other things, because somehow I feel like that would have solved everything. And I can easily get over what you said in the rep, so hopefully you can forgive me back?

Zappa, I think you should review Butthole Surfers - Psychic...Powerless...Another Man's Sac but the only reason I picked it is because that's what I'm listening to right now, and I'm digging it.

If you can anticipate the melody or chord changes of a song after hearing it just once, then it's undoubtedly a great song with the ability to create a lasting impression. However, if you can predict the flow after zero listens, then it's unimaginative and predictable garbage. What a strange thing.
