On a vaguely related trans-atlantic note, I sent off my module selection form for University a couple days back.

On top of my compulsory modules (Music in Context, Intro To Media, Intro to Popular Culture), I selected Popular Music 1, Performance, and Foundations In Sound Technology. This means opting out of Foundation In Music Studies. I almost wish I could have taken all 7.

I'm majoring in Music with a minor in Media & Popular Culture, in case that wasn't clear.

Fo sho.

My personal favorite is Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven, but it's also the longest and most challenging. Well, actually, they're all challenging, but this one is a doozie. I don't mean challenging like dissonant-Fantomas-noise challenging, it's just long and epic and very, VERY emotional, and it's hard to cope with. You have to be able to listen to A WHOLE ALBUM without stopping, and many people can't sit through one TRACK.

Slow Riot For New Zero Kanada is a short 28.6 minutes (two tracks), whereas Lift Your Skinny Fists... is almost an hour and a half (four tracks), and, frankly, they're all incredible, so maybe you should try Kanada, and if you come out on the other side 28.6 minutes closer to enlightenment, just wait until you hear the other three.
