they arent, but certain metalheads say Metallica is the greatest band ever too, that doesnt make it true. just ignore these people and base your like or dislike on what you think. you're a smart guy, dont let idiots sway your views of a band, unless its the libertines, and they suck.

Thank you :). I'm still bored of them though :p

I did that the other night on the sidewalk in front of a gas station. I played acoustic guitar and sang for a bunch of hoboes. It was like living in a Bob Dylan song.

By myself I've done it alot of times, but this time I'm setting up with my band which I've never done before. So I don't what's really going to happen, I think there might be a sound ordinance but oh well I don't care.

I think he means Marvin. I didnt like the Hitchhiker's film, i didnt understand why things were happening. Like why did Malkovich want that gun? Why were those big, ugly things after Zaphod? He's the president, he can do anything he wants surely. He even said he was kidnapping himself! *spoiler* And why did they need Arthur's brain? Why was he the chosen one? *spoiler end* Marvin got annoying after a while too, I was like "Shut the **** up Marvin!". And was it me or did Mos Def mumble most of his lines? Maybe thats why I didnt know what was going on. I'd give it 9 thumbs up.

Last film I saw was Mean Creek. I liked it

He'd stolen the Heart of Gold.

*spoiler* And why did they need Arthur's brain? Why was he the chosen one? *spoiler end*

He was on Earth right up to the moment of it's destruction, so since he was part of it's organic matrix, the question, or some incomplete or corrupted version of the question, would be imprinted on his brainwaves.

It's true, he dislikes more bands than you'll ever hear.

Speaking of bands NPC doesn't like, last night the local radio station played "L'Via L'Viaquez" by the Mars Volta. A bit unusual, especially since the song is about eight minutes long even without the fade-out garbage. But it was neat.

I don't think I've written much about Joy Division in a very long time and I don't think that makes a difference. In any case I just spent a good amount of my time listing just of some the groups/artists that I have in my large collection. And so what? If a band sucks well I'm going to say it. I don't hate on much besides The VU and Love as it is.

Tonight I have a band concert. We're playing some crazy stuff, including a movement of a piece called "Ghost Train" by Eric Whitacre. It's a pretty cool piece, Whitacre really isn't that bad (although he's pretty derivative). As far as high school band work, his stuff is perhaps as good as new music gets. In this performance, we begin with a single spotlight on a flute soloist who plays a really spooky, quiet line. About 4 bars later, we all interrupt her with unbelievably obnoxious sounds, and all the lights go out except for onstage blacklights. It's going to be intense.

I got back from my field trip from in Chicago. I went to Medieval Times where they were taught children to scream "DIE" when to chose for the life or death of an opposing knight. The chicken was good. My Orchestra and The Band also played a little festival thing at night for 40 or so people still there. The second performance our orchestra went on by ourselves there were 6 people left in the audience, it was so much fun. I slept in a hotel and got woken up by a bunch of females, I had no pants on. Then we tottaly all went to six flags but it sucked becuase big brother was looking over my shoulder the whole time. I did see a real life dance off though before the awards ceremony where every school including our own would spaz out when they won an award, good times.

I enjoyed QOTSA's performance on Saturday Night Live. Will Farrell was the host, and when they were playing "Little Sister" he came onstage dressed as the cowbell player from the BOC skit and played along with the band. Neat.

Hey guys, I'm putting together a list of my top 100 rock/metal bassists (this includes indie rock or alt. rock possibly!) and I was wondering if you know of any good bassists that I might be prone to forgetting.

That sounds awesome. You cut short the part when you were woken up by females though.

Eh, he's okay but he's just not "established" enough. But I'll consider it.

And I got Duff McKagan.
