Hello everyone... I hope you're all feeling perfect. I am, personally. Today, I bought myself handmade guitar strings, realized that I have only one exam instead of 4 the next week, and got into a talk about Xenakis with a taxi driver. I was drunk at that moment anyways.
I've just listened to some Iron and Wine for the first time, and I really dig them. Also, I'm going to see Dave Weckl in two weeks, and Sonic Youth in... well, 2 months. I'm pretty excited about both.
Just wanted to share :)

I thought Miles recorded almost exclusively for Columbia. Monk mostly recorded for Prestige and Riversid/OJC. I guess that's how they can make a concise compilation.

No I don't sadly but I'm a fan of Coltrane so I'm sure it's got to be good. Though in 1964 he still hadn't started experimenting as much as he did in 1965-1966 but that doesn't matter, it's all good stuff.

Conan kept talking about how it was the greatest band name ever, and he probably had a point there. I didn't know it was just drums-and-bass, but the really cool part was when the drummer/singer left the kit to go to another mic, and then Max Weinberg jumped onstage and took over the drumming. I touched a rickenbacker 4003 for the first time today and I wet myself (figuratively speaking). Yes the negro one does suck, it wasnt my idea. We were called Kino Eye (anyone who has studied soviet cinema from the 1920s should know what it is) but turned out it was taken by some unsigned band in texas. The drummer says the negro one, i suggested flite. I actually like flite (its a cinematic orchestra song btw), its not crap or anything, just not very interesting. If Blur never existed and i suggested blur as a name people would probably say that sucks too.
Surely this finally proves drummers are idiots. Also, I went to London with her yesterday (yes its a girl drummer) and she refused to take the tube, this ended up in us going in the wrong direction on the bus for 90 minutes. At least we got to see the many delights of Pimlico

Uni life is quite cool. I'm bladdered like 4-5 nights a week, but I still feel great!*
It's a really fun place and I have so many mates up here.
*that's a lie, I'm terribly rundown hehe.
Cool. I've been to visit two possible Unis this weekend (didn't I say that already?). One of them has a local pub simply named The ****, which amused me no end.
It was also pretty damn funny rolling into the Uni at 11am, looking up at the student accomodation, and seeing all the curtains still closed.

I just watched Black Hawk Down for the first time, my only words are: 'What the ****ing hell happened to the pilot?' I thought it was all about the pilot being stuck and taken prisoner, but you never found out what happened to him.

Notice how i say "try for" like "try for a baby", because getting Glasto tickets is probably just about as painful as being pregnant. Although the end result is probably a lot more worthwhile

The line-up is announced on the 21st, and the main batch of tickets go on sale at the beginning of April.
The tickets that were already on sale were advanced bookings. Basically, they were the offcuts from the corporate tickets.

Ah I see. Well Glasto still does it. If im gonna stay up until 8am trying to give away £130 of my own money I'd like to know exactly why im doing so. I want to know how the hippies get tickets, I cant imagine them with technology of any sort. I think they must not leave the site, they live in holes underneath the fields or something and come out only in June

Yes, Steve Coogan was very good in it. Both of the Whites' acting made me cringe with embarrassment. Bill Murray drinking coffee out of the pot was pretty darned funny.

Becuase I haven't been on my acid relflex medication for the last couple of months I have developed a bunch of scarring on my esophagus and it is the worse pain I have ever felt in my life I'm pretty much living off antacids hopefully in a couple of days after I'm starting my meds again it will start to clear up. :(

Quick review of Fighstar last night: Actually alright, lyrics were all shoite to be honest but some of the music was actually alright, I applaud Charlie for doing this.
Although my night wasn't all good, thought it would be a bit fun if I started a moshpit as there were loads of teeny-boppers there last night. The pit got going bout 10 people got involved, however I got knocked over and nearly got trampled on by teeny-boppers who don't understand the basic rule of picking someone up if they fall over, was stuck on the floor on my back for like 20seconds before someone I knew eventually picked me up. Bloody kids kicked me and nearly jumped on me, grr!

Well, there's a little mirror on the light that he shines in your mouth. I hate when it's tilted perfectly so I can see directly in my mouth. I was actually lucky today because I couldn't see him molesting my teeth.

I havent been to dentist since he said I had to have surgery on my jaw because its a bit too far back. He clearly thought he was a proper doctor or something. This was 3 years ago
