Does the weather in Sweden suck or what!?
Good evening, and welcome to todays Sweboy rant. Today, we touch the issue of the sucky wheater in Sweboy's home country. Take it away, S.
So, now in the wintertime, we don't get snow anymore, we just get cold rain, because the temperature won't sink below zero degrees. It just fools around just above zero. And, it's really windy too. This equals a lot of nasty rain that you can't avoid. If you try to use an umbrella, the wind will just destroy it.
When I was a little child, I walked home from school in great winter weather with a lot of beatiful snow everywhere. Nowadays, I walk home with the pissy, cold rain in my face. Thank you western countries of the world for the greenhouse effect!

Knowing that the review site is still in beta keeps my hopes up, it's well done from just a web site standpoint but I think it needs some work to make it more personable and give it the same community feel the forum had. I posted my first new review there, too. Half Japanese - Greatest Hits.

I think we should just be able to post our reviews in both the old format and the new one. Sure, it might mean more work for the mods, but they can always add more mods to lighten the work load.

I posted my first new review there, too. Half Japanese - Greatest Hits. The new site focuses really on the review, where the forums were really more based around the collective discussion. I guess for a serious website, this new site is better. But I agree, it does "unbond the relationship" that we music nerds have with it.

^ you should know that singles suck and are usually the worst tracks on the album.
no, singles are almost always the most accessible song, to get the album across. so many times i've seen the best songs released as singles, and i find out the rest of the songs suck on the album.
singles are usually chosen on how well they can be played on the radio or tv channels too.
pixiesfanyo
01-18-2005, 04:41 PM
^ Stop listening to bad music then, most singles are the most accessible meaning they are created to appeal to an audience, thus not being a true reflection of the artist.
Radiohead - Creep is the perfect example of this.
The Ashtray Girl
01-18-2005, 04:52 PM
That's hardly always the case though, with more 'alternative' bands maybe, but with the more indie rock side of things the singles are often their best songs, perfect example Oasis.
Then again, a lot of people - diehard RH fans included - say Creep is the best song on Pablo Honey.
It all depends on the artist. Some artists are album-orientated, some are singles-orientated. Though, on that thread, most of us would say that album-orientated bands are far more 'credible' and 'good'.

Black roses growing where red beauties once stood
It is the sign of lost life
It is the sign of lost love
The figure who once stood in its place
replaced by a black rose, with pedals that burn like fire
The fires it unleashes scorns me everyday
I can feel it's burning ember engulf me more
When I am without you
Burning me alive is what it's doing
looking it in the eys sends a chill through my life
ending its reign would be so liberating
But how
how to begin a new life
is it what i want
is it what i need
is it what i deserve
