You could probably take my word for it. :thumb:
Only I'm on vocals, and I'm not too sure how the style is gunna sit with the rest of the guys when they hear it.
they not heard your vocals yet? thats always a ****. it takes a hell of a lot courage to sing infront of your mates for the first time, more than it does to a crowd.
^^if they have heard you, my post = completely irrelevant :smoke:

Yeah, well they've heard em, but these are completely different. Crazy insane vocals, which may take a fair amount of courage. Yeah, funny straining facial expressions included.
I spent most of this morning trying to figure out how to play a few songs on The Holy Bible, by watching the live performances on the DVD of the re-issue. The cameramen for these performances suck and keep looking at the drummer during the tricky fills.

so there is no relevant difference in sound quality?
Yeah, there is a difference. Record players have that crackly sound. But, I mean, if you buy vinyl you can only listen to it on the record player. It's tough freakin luck if you wanna take it somewhere and listen to it. Silly. Technology can be good.

I dunno, the songs have a bit of a range. I guess what we have made so far is somewhere around Fugazi/The Bronx/Interpol/The International Noise Conspiracy.
Just crazy fun stuff. I'm writing lyrics about fictional stuff. The song I finished today was about the character Johnny chasing a man in order to kill him.

INC were so good at Leeds. the frontman has some interesting charisma, although he might be a little too flexible for the crowds good. fictional stuff is ok to write about imo, but it's difficult if you're trying to put a serious point across. lacks emotion (at the risk of sounding "emo") :smoke:

That reminds me of something... I was going back to home from the band rehearsal with my bandmates and somebody stopped me on the road. The conversation was like:
Guy: "Do you speak English?"
Friend: "Yes."
Guy: "Let me tell you a secret about the Holy Bible."
Friend: "Sorry, I'm irreligious."
and we walked on....
I'm sorry, I'm just so bored. I'm doing a John Mayer review right now... and probably do another review this night.. I have a christmas vacation, and it's nice to have vacations out of no reason. But it's also boring.

Nope. I think it's great, but I can only say that after getting a good grasp on it after the 5th viewing.
Why? Is it too "commercial" for you? or is it a religious thing?
Both, really, among several other things. Other than having people spontaneously buy you presents to celebrate the birthday of some dead guy they've never met, I can't see anything to like about it. Except maybe the food. But even that just makes you fat.
All the shops are either packed, or shut. All the clubs are packed, or shut, and invariably have **** music. People become totally incapable of having a conversation about anything other than Christmas. Religious bigots start breeding and mutliplying in the sewers. More than any other time of the year, there's constant pressure on you to be in a relationship. It's cold. The TV sucks. The radio sucks. Your neighbours suddenly turn into an episode from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. The only real escape is alcohol, and all that does is get you depressed and sick.
And the worst thing about it? IT LAST FOR 5 MONTHS. People put up decorations and start talking about it in September, and then don't stop until the end of January - if you're lucky.
Roll on New Year's, I say. That's something worth celebrating.

So who gave me an negative rep for my last post, without even leaving a message? I won't be mad, I'd just like to know why you didn't explain yourselves. I couldn't guess who it could be, but when I think of people who diss things without giving their reasons, only one person comes to mind!

It's basically a compilation of all the musicians, compoers, and bands that have shaped my musical mind over the years. Some of them may not be permanent influences, since a few are artists I have recently gotten into. However, I think it's a good representation for now. Here's a list of who they are, if any of you aren't in the know:
Miles Davis
Frank Zappa
Dan "The Automator" Nakamura
Iggy Pop
Clifford Brown
Bernard Herrmann
Edgard Varese
Minutemen
King Crimson
Freddie Hubbard
John Coltrane
Bill Evans
Captain Beefheart
NoMeansNo
Public Enemy
Igor Stravinsky
Rahsaan Roland Kirk
Blackalicious
Eric Dolphy
Talking Heads
John Zorn
Beck
Tom Waits
Led Zeppelin
Yes
Radiohead
Metallica
Nick Cave

Hello all, I return from snowy Switzerland. I'll start posting properly tomorrow.
We're all returning at once.
 at my favourite Mxer who lives near me.
How were the bands you saw yesterday?
Caliban were marred by tehnical problems so badly that they had to stop after 2 songs. The other 3 (Chimaira, Lacuna Coil, In Flames) were all far better than I expected them to be. It was an awesome gig.
LC did an acoustic set, it was sex. AND they played My Wings, which I figured there was no chance of.

Anything for you ;)
Holiday was really really great, lots of snow and I turned out to be alright at skiing, so I didn't break anything and had mastered little slopes by the end of the four days we were up in the mountains.
On Christmas Day I went to this awesome outdoor candlelight carol service, all in German, with a mahoosive Christmas tree and snow everywhere.
Then got back and opened my Christmas presents yesterday. I got an i-Station (speakers with many wires and ports etc) plus lots of philosophy books, girly bath stuff and of course CDs - Brian Wilson, Snow Patrol, Muse - Origin Of Symmetry, Jeff Buckley legacy edition and The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots, all of which are fantastic!

Right now I'm running Windows XP Home (which blows hard), but I'm thinking of installing Linux at some point because of the extreme hardness that Windows blows.
I've got Windows XP Home too. I can't be bothered to install anything new because my PC needs to be re-booted every few months anyway.

sure, they can't make an operating system that's gonna appeal to everyone, and there are wankers out there who make viruses to combat windows. meaning you get viruses easily because dipshits think it's funny to make a virus in vein of Gates destruction.
