Yeah, the test I did was nothing but ridiculous situations (that would never happen) where we had to decide which overlapping "habit" to use. I pretty much ended up guessing and getting lucky.

Nope, I'm in Massachusetts and I went to the Safety Council . But we had the option of 'Skidz School' which is when they flood this big parking lot with water and we learn how to control the car in the water.

It actually really helped me when I was driving to school one morning and it was snowing. (I dont mean little wussy snow; I mean it was ****ing snowing)

The acting was not very good. But the rest of the movie was good enough to make up for it for me until the ending. Even if the movie had been great an ending that bad would've crippled it.

Got my driving test on friday, then seeing Kings of Leon next friday, then 2 and a 1/2 weeks of christmas holiday before having 9 exams within a week. I hate retakes. Especially as I have to revise over christmas. Also, the weather in England sucks. Its cold, but not in a nice way. As in, you get ill but it never snows. Just rains. A lot. Sorry for the rant, it just made me feel better to let it out.

I had the BEST day.

I went to a poetry reading at The Strand Theatre, as per a college trip. I was the only guy on the trip. I do not kid when I say, every girl who went, was serious eye-candy, and was so nice to just talk to (and flirt with). They were all in mentalist mode too. It was funny as hell. I may even be forming a band with one of them.

The reading was killer, too. Simon Armitage (the reason I went) was amazing. Grace Nichols was great. We missed most of Gillain Clarke, unfortunately, but what we saw was cool. Carol Ann Duffy, sadly, was lame. She had no passion whatsoever.

There were a couple of lectures about poetry, one of which sucked. The other (Germaine Geer) was a little overlong, but very informative.

The day ended with Will Sutton essentially doing a stand-up comedy routine based on Shakespeare's Sonnets. That was incredible. So funny, and totally unexpected. Made my day, he did.

Pantera was actually one of the first bands I got into, so I guess he's kinda responsible for me liking music. Wow. I was at work when I found out about it and I was walking round in shock for the rest of my shift, it was really weird, really unexpected.

Just a week ago I read an interview where Anselmo said that Dimebag deserved to be beaten severely.

I hope this at least knocks some ****ing sense into him, Anselmo is in desperate need of a reality check. In the same interview, he said: "I think I proved clearly to everybody what I was in PANTERA! And what I was was a unique, unbelievably magnetic frontman that had not been around since the days of Robert Plant and Ozzy Osbourne. I am one in a million".

So many newer metal bands these days rip off Phil Anselmo's style of singing (especially in nu-metal), but for some reason, none of those mallcore bands could ever match Dimebag's chops. I think "inimitable" describes this guitarist pretty well, and it's a tragic loss for everyone.

Has anyone ever heard "Avoid the Light?" It's one of the last Pantera songs recorded before they split up, and it starts out very subdued and acoustic. I really like it; most Pantera fans will say that it can never match the classic "Cemetery Gates," but it's still pretty solid for a band whose albums took a slight decline in quality (from what I understand).
