I know I is out of the loop here but...
Yesterday me and my drummer got together for a jam, and we made up 5 songs in the space of an afternoon, and they are all freaking awesome. The best music I've ever made with a band, and it works so well. I'm so excited. Made plans for what i'm doing next year too, it's all mapped out.

Wahooooooooo. I'm not dead. I'm freakin excited at 1 am here. I think I might watch a movie.
I wish I was humble enough to be in a band. Unfortunately, I'm a control freak, and people find it difficult to work with me.
Tapeworm
11-28-2004, 10:06 AM
Me too actually. It's taken me a long time to find these two people that I am very very comfortable with. We work together so well, it just freaks me out, and none of us try to do too much. If you find the right people, you don't have to control it because they are already playing what you want.
<3<3<3
11-28-2004, 10:19 AM
Yeah, it's hard for me to find members too. Everytime I jam with people we usually always have conflicting ideas, and the music sucks when you have to comprimise.
But, like the old saying "If you want it done right, do it yourself." So that's what I've been doing and just recording a bunch of tracks.
And good morning. :)
dkmaddog
11-28-2004, 10:28 AM
My bandmate and I are in constant conflict. We have a few different views over what direction our music should go in and I tend to be a control freak and a perfectionist. I think our sound is too generic and he thinks it is great, which really pisses me off. I'm thinking about just going alone.

Wahey, went to see Graham Coxon last night, which was amazing enough by itself, BUT, for one of his encores PETE DOHERTY CAME ON STAGE!! I'm not that much of a Libertines fangirl usually, but it was really really exciting. Yay for surprise guests! Also, anyone ever heard of Tom Vek? He was one of the supports, and was very very good.

Everyone's slagging it off loads, but I honestly don't think it's that bad. The production and instrument sound is significantly better, the singing is very pleasant to listen to, the only thing that really disappoints me is the fact Bono's line just isn't as good this time around.

On the subject of Christmas, seriously, how bad is the new Band Aid single? The old one was, if we're honest, pretty bad stuff, but the new one is genuinely terrible. Whose bright idea was it to give Dizzee Rascal a rap solo?

It's so weird. Imagine C3P0 and R2-D2 singing through most of the songs, with the usual church choir in the background. There are guest droids too. w3rd
My friend's sister has that. He's hiding it from her on a gigantic spool filled with those free AOL cd's.
It's horrible.

Webster will tell you that it is "Chopped or shredded cabbage salted and fermented in its own juice". But we all know that it is much more than that...It is a magical food capable of granting wishes if cooked properly. It also goes excellent with all types of sausage.

I don't know about Filipino cuisine, but combined with the power of Indian food, I was able to lower my car insurance by 35%!(This may have been caused by other factors, but I'm giving the credit to sauerkraut)
