hey did anyone know they made a movie named Thunderstruck based on AC/DC

Yep. So far only released in Australia. Apperently, DC isn't even on the soundtrack. Only a cover of It's A Long Way To The Top.

Visit that for some more information.

Calm down dipshit. I love AC/DC more than most as well, but take it easy. I'm not sure what brought about his statement but it is pretty much true. No matter how much your fan-boy *** loves them, on a relative level, they are not super talented. They're much more on the catchy side than talented. Many guitarists could make Angus look like C.C. Deville next to them. Moving on, am I the only one here who's a fan of Chris Slade as drummer? Not entirely sure why, but he was always my favorite, especially live.

01-20-2005, 11:28 AM
The problem I have with most of the posts here about Angus, calling him overrated, is the fact that they're basing his talent by what they heard on the radio or a cd. Angus is incredible, most people dont fully understand his talent until they see him live and improvise soloes and riffs.

The Four Key
01-20-2005, 09:43 PM
just let me say in advance that a lot of people will probably disagree with me on this but im kind of hypocritical on this so here i go....

AC/DC is a good band in the sense that they play catchy tunes that you can hear for the first time and sing along to or tap your foot to. but.... Thats because there songs a simple but good. AC/DC isnt all that great of musicians they've won people over simplicity and catchyness

You are uterley true and although it hurts millions of kook kids around the world- AC/DC wasn't all that talented. So stop trying to be popular by following the crowd and throw down you Back In Black shirts you bought at Target and Wal-Mart.

if u ask me solos mean nothing angus is a pretty good song writer and a good guitarist but sure he cant be that good if amlcolm can match him on "can i sit next to you girl" that song had a pretty good solo in it and Malcolm played it and i think its 1 of their best solos

Anyone seen Live at Donnington? Pretty good stuff.

Yeah I have it. I have to watch it every few weeks usually but the one speaker on TV broke so I can barely hear angus' playing. But yeah, would have been a kick *** show to be at. I guess any AC/DC would be for that matter.

Yeah. I really haven't seen any newer rock bands that can rock the stadium as well as ac/dc. The Darkness is the next closest but ac/dc still beats their asses into the ground musically.

True, with timing, solo's and so forth. Just the way they gel together as a band when they perform.

Thats the first time I have ever heard Brian Johnson being mentioned as a better lead singer than Bon Scott, everyone's entitled to their own opinions I suppose.

I play drums, and I can play basically every AC/DC song that I have heard...

Not really, I think some one who has played drums for maybe a month could play all of them. They are all really easy (for drums at least).

angus has a way of making a solo seem really easy, but it ends up to be pretty hard. there was one part in "back in black" that was only like 3 seconds long but took me about a month to learn it.he is way underrated

He's your classic guitar playing Hick from Australia...Who then becomes famous along with his brother in a rock n roll band...Very common... :)
