From what I understand it's pretty easy to blame the smoke on something burning, a guy who I am acquainted with through a mutual friend got caught because he set off the smoke detector and he said he just burned some toast, and they bought it.

Yeah, you just gotta smoke near a window with a fan blowing outward to suck out the smoke and blow into the fan. Don't fishbowl the dorm or anything and have a splooge ready (a water bottle with a hole in the bottom and drier lint/scent collector stuff in it to catch the smell) to exhale out of into the fan. Also, smoke at night so the security guards can't see the smoke and put a blanket at the bottom of the door to keep smoke from going out the bottom so it's visible in the hallway (very unlikely but not impossible).

It's easyyyyyy. In fact, I'm gonna go do that now.

Here, you gotta be 20 feet from any doors into buildings. Totally reasonable.

i can't rank them, they're all unique and amazing. full collapse is my favorite, with a 10/10, but all the other ones are pretty much 9.9s. waiting, of course, doesn't have the maturity of the other ones, but the emotion on it is just so powerful that, for me, it puts it right up there with the rest of them as near pefect.

I know. We usually go outside about 100 feet in the woods right next to my dorm but during the winter no one wants to smoke outside or WILL want to smoke outside. Also, after you're done smoking, you're already back in the dorm so you can put on music and just chill.

Orchid isn't foregin; they're from Amherst, Massachusetts. Do La Quiete or something similar.

Saetia isn't really too modern since they broke up c. 2001. I agree with CTTS but do Ampere in place of Saetia.

Indian Summer is not chaotic. Do Heroin. Foreign emo should be covered by the awesomness that is La Quiete.

They were supposed to release a split, but I dunno what happened with that.

The two guitarists went on to form this band "The Return of.." They're supposed to be like Quantice and will have recordings up soon supposedly.
The bassist is in a billion different bands. Namely a punk band called, "Racing Exit 13"
The drummer might be in this band similar to Set Your Goals called, "Breakthrough"
And the vocalist formed this band called "As You Were" which is a metalcore band.
All have myspaces obviously.
As You Were and Racing Exit 13 has actual songs up.
As does Breakthrough.

One thing I hate about sputnik's review section is how people arbitrarily will treat a pop album like it's super deep or at least has the possibility of being a good album (see Justin Timberlake's new album), whereas other albums are arbitrarily trashed even though they are likely composed by the same Columbia/RCA/Warner Bros. producer who writes all of the actual songs that are released by pop artists. Think about it.

They verge on pretending 30 seconds to mars and alien ant farm are super intellectual artístes.

My speech went really well. I went second (wanted to go third, but no one signed up for second). I set up my laptop and speakers without problem, did small tests on the volume and went ahead. Was nervous the entire time, but I don't think it showed as much as my last speech. The audience reacted well to me. Everyone raised their hand when I asked if they had heard of emo. I got laughs when I said MTV had brainwashed them. At least one guy knew Minor Threat. People were interested in the subject and the reactions from the music was nice. My teacher made some awesome faces when I played Swing Kids and CTTS. I got more laughs when I concluded with that MTV always lies.

Got plenty of questions, someone asked me when emo started (I covered it in my speech, he must not've been paying attention) and someone asked about Bright Eyes. I went overtime by 55 seconds, not too bad.

The TA commended me on my transitions and my lack of ums and she told the class I was a model speaker in that area.

I'll find out my grade Monday more than likely.
