She Died Real Pretty just broke up yesterday. I've posted about this band before but I decided that now since they broke up and their songs from their 7" split are up, that I'd post about them again.

One person doesn't represent an entire band. The record company disregarded the lyrics but once they started problems, they looked at them again and saw the issues with them. The rest of the band might be that way.

Off Minor pwns sooo hard. I love their bass lines, too. If I played bass in an emo band, the bass lines would be like Off Minor, only with slapping because I rule.

So I have a fat, stupid, Persian cat named Buddy but sometimes I wonder how stupid he is. Earlier today when I went downstairs, he ran to the front door and stared at me, meowing. I knew he wanted to go outside because whenever we open the door he bolts and attacks birds. I knew that if I stopped letting him go outside, eventually he would forget about it and give up, so I ignored him and went back upstairs.


I was leaning back in my chair when he decided to revolt. He jumped up onto the top of my chair and jumped right back off, putting just enough weight to knock it over. I fall straight back in my chair, and just lay it in staring at the ceiling. He then crawls ontop of my stomach and just stands there, looking straight towards the window with a defiant and accomplished glimmer in his eyes as the sunlight covered him and made his rebellion look even more glorious.

One time my cat saw a fly on the door, so he got a running start from a room away and jumped to attack it, and almost knocked himself out on the door. LIke, he got up and fell over again a few times because he was dizzy.

I feel like it's more of the same from their past two albums, just tweaked to sound more "artistic" due to better production and different effects. The ironic part is that I listen to very little prog, that I do listen to the occasional emo band, and am just joking.

The instrumentals of emo music--particularily the more "ambient"-esque styles (I could care less of sub-genre names: whatever City of Caterpillar, Indian Summer, etc. would fall under) is quite astounding. I just hate the vocals.
