Cool. They're both great huh? "The Weight Of Glory" is my favorite of the two though it sounds a little too much like "Hold Fast Hope." "Flags At Dawn" is beautiful though.

documentary on the brian jonestown massacre, man those guys are ****in crazy, and not very good at all. I sorta feel like my whole way of living is 100 percent more sane now after watching that... Anton Newcomb the leader is just ****ing insane. Pretty enjoyable documentary

I had been wanting to see Lords of War. I may just rent that now. Also, for some insane stuff look up Christian Bok. I saw him perform at a lecture at my school. He does stuff called "sound poetry," which means he writes not unlike Cedric Bixler of the Mars Volta in which the way works conjoin and sound together are more important than their meaning, though meaning is not skimpy. He extends this to an extreme where he uses english and syllables in other languages to produce sounds and he uses them to beatbox. He even performed one poem that sound like a Khanate song. Anyways I thought it'd be interesting to mention and I think he has some mp3s littered online, the coolest being his beatbox which is entitled "Synthesizer Loops." Another cool thing is from a work in progress called "The Cyborg Opera."

you say every band that is popular in here sucks. sure, maybe they aren't all expanding the boundaries of the genre and are somewhat simple and therefore easy for people to get into, but that really doesn't mean they all suck. i'm sure you're a nice guy, but you come off as kind of a prick when the only time i ever see you say a band is good is when you say something like "you can't take credit for them. i found them first". not trying to start **** with you or anything, just pointing out something i've noticed. take it for whats its worth (not much).

Matt: Yeah dude, I play in Concert Band and we've been working on the score (since most people in the pit are in concert band, he uses class time to teach it). Leonard Bernstein is a mad man. Wait until you get to "A Boy Like That." **** is so hard. It starts off in 3/2 then moves into an alternating 3/4 and 4/4 pattern every other measure. After that it dabbles in 6/8 and 9/8. Alot of the songs have alot of the 5/4, 9/8 and I even saw 1/2.

I read it last year for English, and it's probaly my favorite book that I have ever read. Also the paper I wrote on it was the highest grade I got on a paper in English last year as well.

They say you gotta read Catcher in the Rye 3 times...once in high school, once when you've finished college, and once when you're an adult with a family of your own. Each time you will look at it completely different.

I read it sophomore year for English and I could really connect with Holden. I loved it; I thought it was an amazing book. I look forward to reading it in 4 more years when I finish college and seeing how my opinion changes.

It's a great book, though.

If you liked that book, I reccomend On the Road by Jack Kerouac...seriously one of my favorite books of all time. It's so good. :thumb:
