g. 99 were a punk rock band from Sterling, Virginia on the outskirts of Washington, D.C. The band formed as a 6-piece in winter 1998 and later expanded to an 8-piece. Always changing members, they once played as a 14 member outfit.

Wow is right. They might of had twelve people TOTAL... but that's because they have changed members often. I don't ever remember hearing that they had over ten members, that's a little rediculous.

They have 8 members listed on their level plane site and I think I read something on the pg99 website about having 10+. Whatever though.

mp3s?
you know i used to just play by myself, i'd play guitar and kick a bass drum and that was the band... but it got old and i wanted to make good sounding music with like drums and bass.
the concentration of people who listen to good music is very small, and then factoring in the ablility to play an instrument...
it's impossible haha

Look for people that live somewhat farther away... perhaps they will have the will to travel just to play and such. There ARE people that are in the same situation as you, me being one. If all else fails. Buy a xtrack recorder (depending on how layered you want everything) buy all of the individual instruments. Play one instrument, record, play second record over it. and tadah. You have a song all by yourself. I did that last year as a two peice band with a friend.
EDIT (to k1ckthecat) - The other band has a horrible name too, so most likly, horrible band. I really hate it when good bands play with some of the worst bands that you've ever heard. :(
In the booklet of Document 8 it lists 9 names. I always wondered what the hell the 9th guy played if they have 2 vocalists, 3 guitarist, 1 drummer and 2 bassists.

No, it's because it doesn't matter and me, torn, deadohiosky, and whiteminority are the only people here who buy vinyl consistently. (Consistently being multiple times a month.) Everyone else just has 5 records and since people here are retarded, they'd just talk about those over and over and over and over like they do with the 15 bands they know. :thumb:

wooooo!
heya, just wanted ta let ya know that for the past few months, we have been working on a brand new full-length!!! we have just recently finished recording the whole thing and is now in the mixing/mastering process...and we could not be moooooooore STOKED on it! it will be 10 songs (some of which you might have seen us play live on the West Coast tour with Graf Orlock). and as of now, the new full length is titled "BURN YOUR BONES"
anyways, i just wanted ta let people know that we ARE working hard right now while not trying to play shows around this time because we are putting together everything that we need for the new record/cd to make sure it comes out like we want it! so yeah, please be on the loooooook out for this!!! right now, i can't tell you when it will "OFFICIALLY" be out, but (maybe...hopefully...probably) we are planning on having a special "foreign version" release of this new album at a show in the 650 sometime in April. as for the rest of the "not 650", hopefully this will be out in May/June, but we are still trying to figure out how we are gonna put it out here in the states.
so yeah, that is the "COMADRE UPDATE" as of now...BUT!!! be on the lookout for an INTENSE and ABSOLUTLY RIDICULOUSLY HUGE UPDATE on a LOT of plans that we have for the next few months!!! i WILL be posting all of these crazzy announments SOON!!!. seriously, it's RIDIIIIICULOUS, and i wish i could say everything right now (cause i'm SO stoked on everything), but we're still trying to figure everything out and make sure it's all going to work before we post up ALL the info. but yeah...for now, we'll keep it at NEW COMADRE FULL LENGTH COMING SOON!!!
muchlove and takecare. hope all of our buddies are doing well! send us a holla' if ya want!

Hot Cross Update:
We have booked time at Godcity for the last week of April. We hope to crank out a new full length that will drop sometime in the fall. A tentative working title for the record is Risk Revival. Also in the fall we will be hitting the US hard again to support the new release. So be on the lookout for a US tour in September or so. And most likely another US tour to end the year.
We also have some shows coming up in Feb and March:
02/12 Philadelphia, PA @ First Unitarian Church w/ Coliseum & Lords
03/09 NY, NY @ Syrup Room w/Plot to Blow Up, Akimbo, Genghis Tron, USAISAMONSTER
03/10 Syracuse, NY @ Westcott Comm. Center w/Mikoto & Cursed
03/11 Bellmore, NY @ LiveTrax w/Mikoto & Cursed
03/12 Poughkeepsie, NY @ Club Crannel w/Mikoto & Cursed
"Burn Your Bones."

So instead of giving some bull**** answer like that you could also try and explain why you think reviews ON THIS SITE WHERE NOONE LISTENS TO THIS KIND OF MUSIC are so helpful? People who want to buy records by bands like Ten Grand are resourceful enough to get into underground music so I guess they're resourceful enough to type "Ten Grand" +review into a search engine and click search.
Most of you are so stuck in some kind of emo popularity scene contest it's hard to tell the difference between someone who actually likes the music (and most importantly, the whole mindset and subculture) and someone who is just a douche trying to score some street cred.

I think that I just like to review music and find it fun to post them on occasion. I've reviewed alot of stuff that's very, mainstream such as Frances the Mute and Roman Candle. So it's not like I'm just reviewing underground records, I'm really just reviewing things that I find really good, and that I think other people would find really good too.
