emo is based out of hardcore music which is based out punk music so it makes perfect sense for it to be a sub-forum of the punk forum.

DFelon the ANIT-MTV EMO CREW mean we are a crew (open to anyone who wants join) who is anti-mtv not anti-mtv emo. Emo is in there since we wanted a crew and we all (me, Converge#12, and SunnyDay) listened to emo and thought it would be cool to be in an emo crew. I don't think I am an enlightened emo guru, far from it, because I once started off with MTV emo myself (TBS, I never liked MCR I just want to make that clear). Dude don't ban us because we are just saying we are against the MTV bastardization of all music (metal, pop-punk, and hi-hop included).

true, the songs on the Underdark sound a little bit same-y, but never boring though. It's probably because they wrote all the songs especially for the album, where the other ep's and split-albums are 'collections of unrelated' songs.
