The primary reason I want to learn it is because my interest in World War II history influences my fiction stories that I write, and it would be easier to write for German characters if I knew the language. There's a story idea I have in particular that involves, basically, an American and German trapped alone together, and thus knowing the language is imperitive, since the German isn't supposed to know any English. I've seen and heard a lot of German, though, and can usually understand some basic phrases.

Go Tools>Internet Options>Advanced and scroll about half way down to Multimedia, Disable sounds in web pages. Although that will remove the sound from any web page, which is an inconvenience if your streaming music or something.

Ok, my method, which blocks EVERY ad from burstnet, and leaves a blank space instead.

Step 1: Open Internet Options under the Tools menu, and select Security.

Step 2: Click on the cancel sign to open the Restricted Signs options, and then click on Sites.

Chris, change your security settings to custom, and then Disable everything except when it gives you the option to prompt, which you should select instead.
