 No, probably not, Bartender.
Yeah, I got really sick at the end of the semester and the line in Health Services was taking forever to move up, so I left. I was experiences extreme fatigue, aches, and hives. So I had mono. I didn't even know I had it until two weeks ago, and that pissed me off. I was walking around with a swollen spleen that could have killed me by being hit for FOUR WEEKS without even knowing it. Not to mention that the paper I got an extension on could have waited even longer because of the severity of my illness. **** you Health Services!!

Well yes, we all do know three 6's is the number of satan, but what most don't know is three 7's are known to be the number of god. "And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine year.

Mononucleosis. Caused by the little bastard known as the Epsteinn-Barr virus. Its symptoms include extreme fatigue, extreme aching, exhaustion, and hives(of the severe allergic reaction variety). It also causes your liver to inflame and increase its cleansing activity causing your spleen to swell. If you get a blow to the stomach, your swollen spleen could rupture and you could experience severe complications fairly immediately. Oh yeah, and the sore throat you get is a sight to see. It was the throat that brought me to the doctor: I looked at it in the mirror and it had white growths on it, which made me rather irrationally but no less seriously think I had cancer. Only then I find out I have mono after my treatment for strep throat did not come out positive. It's called the kissing disease because it's not very easily transferrable except by trading of fluids, but my girlfriend never had and still does not have mono. Therefore, I'm convinced my roommate got it and transferred it to me before it did anything to him, since you can also get it by living in very close contact with one another. (He sleeps directly adjacent to me) Did I mention that it sucks?
Thanks! I wish I knew that before...I admit it, I'm one of those "uhhh....picked it cause it looked cool" people. But now that I know, I'm even happier that I picked it because it's somewhere along the lines of what I feel about music. Very nice deduction.
EDIT: To LizzySkInyrd.

No. I got that general impression, though :)
Are you all cleared up now?
Yeah, I am. I'm just angry because to me, an illness as potentially serious as mono needs to be diagnosed, and the fact that Health Services at my school moved so atrociously slowly that I couldn't even get it diagnosed makes me very irritated. That's unnacceptable.

Cenarius, eh? Know nothing about that server. :/
I've shelved my Tichondrius characters for the moment and am leveling my warlock on Doomhammer to catch up to my old Everquest guild.
I just joined a band with my vocalist friend and the bassist plays World of Warcraft too. I went over there and they were practicing but there wasn't a set for me to use, so I played WoW. :P
Maybe I'll go make a character on Cenarius, DH and Tich are both down for emergency maintenence because the Alliance intercontinent boat was somehow causing server instability.

Good morning gentlemen. Haha yeah, Napolean was funny as hell. Most idiotic movie ever, no plot at all, but hilareous.
Hey man, did high school have a plot? Didn't think so. Thus N.D. is one of the better movies about high school I've seen. There are so many unbelievably accurate caricatures of different types of students in that movie.
Hey, whatever happened to that Eleventeen/I Am Vikingcore kid? Did the community regs finally shame him into submission?
ArcLite
01-21-2005, 12:27 AM
No man, the "no plot" comment wasn't a criticism at all, just a point of fact. It's a fantastic portrayal of high school. The only one I like better is Dazed and Confused. That movie will live in infamy for me.

Havent seen it yet, I plan to tho. Watched Up the River tonight, that was a cool flick. Its nice to sit back, watch a show and not have to think about it, brainless humor rules at times.
Hey SK! Haven't seen you in a while. As to your point about those kinds of movies, I totally agree. This is why movies like Van Helsing and Hellboy are guilty pleasures of mine: they require no thought to watch. You just sit back and everything happens visually: you're almost not even going to listen to the lines. Humor works the same way. Although humor can get to be too stupid, and then it bothers you. Like "Dodgeball" for instance. Maybe I'm just weird, but I just couldn't disengage my brain enough to ignore the fact that in real life, shattering injuries could occur from receiving a wrench thrown at top speed into your face. The movie wasn't that funny after that.
ArcLite
01-21-2005, 12:45 AM
I saw Dodgeball when it first came out in theaters and remembered it being really funny. So I went and bought the DVD and watched it again and pissed at how not funny it actually is. Anyone else see Oceans 12? That was another disappointment. Wasn't all that funny and wasn't nearly as good as the first one as far as story.

Are you kidding? I loved the crap out of Ocean's Twelve! It must be that Julia Roberts joke. That joke seems to be one of the biggest hit-or-miss jokes in recent history. It was a hit for me, though: ah, to each his/her own, I suppose.
ArcLite
01-21-2005, 12:58 AM
Well don't get me wrong, it had its funny spots. What I didn't like is there wasn't as much focus on the actual heist as there was in 11. 12 seemed to have much more focus on the characters. It wasn't a bad movie by any means, just wasn't what I was expecting I guess. (It was good enough that I did see it twice in the theater.)
It was very different from the first movie, very true. But still very good to me.

I have a bunch of songs I've been putting off learning how to play. Maybe I'll just sit and play CS:S. Wow, the choices of "how lazy can my weekend be" are too abundant.
