I know alot. If you want a lot of dirt go to the pit and search for Spiderman 2. It was a thread I started on opening day (right after I saw it  ) and it has links and a ton of information about Spiderman.
Did it tell you why Spiderman consistently chooses Mary Jane over Black Cat, when clearly Black Cat > Mary Jane?

Black Cat is so much better. MJ does sod all; if he chose Cat, they could beat up the bad guys together (which they have, and occasionally do, I know, but I mean permanently), plus they could actually go around the city together without him having to forgo the pleasure of swinging around the place. Not to mention Cat actually has a personality.

Yes.

Oh and how I wish that they would include the Venom in one of the six films.

Well my thinking was that since Doc Ock is gone, if they wanted to introduce Black Cat then the Owl is the way in - she was defeated by the Owl and Doctor Octopus, which is why she went to Kingpin for "real" superpowers..
I haven't seen Daredevil, so I didn't know they'd used Kingpin there. Never mind, then.

I smoke dope for a few reasons.
One, I have an ulcer that is apparently uncurable. I'm in pain often, anything I eat hurts, and I'll probably be on medication for the rest of my life. Smoking up dulls the pain and gives me a bit more of an appetite (which, as you can imagine, isn't always that good). It also helps me sleep, as I sometimes suffer from insomnia.
Smoking weed = 1 pantoloc (ulcer med), 2 teaspoon of pepto bismol, 1 valium.
It's just alot easier to smoke weed.
Also, I write books, and I like the depressing feeling I get when I'm coming down. Its inspiring, and helps me write. I know that sounds a bit odd.
I'm also pretty sure I'm manic depressive (intense, sudden mood swings) but I've never been clincially diagnosed. Thats a self-diagnosis. Weed chills me a bit.
You know Kurt Cobain had a similar problem to me, and he did heroin and eventually blew his face off.
Considering the circumstances, I don't think I'm doing too bad for myself.
And, it simply feels good, period. Weed isn't even a drug IMHO.
The only downside to weed is I crave cigarettes badly (which irritate my stomach) so I end up smoking like 5 in an hour, and that may or may not hurt later.

Why? Because he was in extreme pain.

And what else is a derivative of opium? Heroin.
I think it'd be an interesting fact to see how many people were adminstered morphine shortly before their death. How many people died stoned.
If the government feels it appropriate to administer morphine for physical pain, I refuse to believe that I can't smoke some weed to deal with the mental difficulty of existing in the day to day world in which we live in.

Nice :thumb:. I think the gov't should legalize weed, for the following reasons
1. It does less damage to a person's lungs than ciggeretes. A stoner will get stoned once a day. A smoker will smoke on average a pack a day.
2. It's not addictive.
3. It does less damage to a person's mind than alchohol yet alcohol is still legal.
4. The gov't could sell it. They would be the biggest dealers in the world. Make soem money and strenthen the economy.
5. People should be able to put whatever they want into their bodies. It's a basic human right.

I like bass. It's a load of fun especially playing guitar solos on it. It just sounds so different. UNfortunatly I'm a pretty bad bass player. Guitar is where it's at for me. I sucked for the first 2 years but then I really started playing a lot and writing. Pop punk is the easiest stuff to start on (Weezer is great too) and the I went to grunge and after that I started writing and don't really play other peoples stuff any more (exzcept for acoustic Radiohead). I never actually played anyone elses metal (unless you count Tool and even then I only learned bits and pieces, excluding my acoustic Lateralus which is awesome but not yet recorded) and don't really write metal. I don't actually know what I write. Complex nu-metal maybe? It's got solos and cool progressions but it has the order of a normal numetal song (until about 2/3 the way through when it goes just get's wierd and is packed with interludes and solos and wierd stuff)
Did you like my rant?

Reading music is HARD, esp for guitar because there are different positions on the neck you can use to play the same thing. I gave it a shot once but got bored. I can read music from doing trombone for 6 years or something but guitar or bass is a different matter

I hate my band. I have the worst drummer in the world and the most closed minded guitarist ever. Today I brought in a new song that has a 3/4 (actually it's 3/8 but there's hardly any difference) part. We had to spend half an hour teaching the drummer how to plya in 3/4 and he still can't do it. Then my guitarist started pitching a fit about how he just wants to rock. All he wants to do is play the same chord progression in 4/4 with the occasional solo. My bassist, while not amazing (but competent), is down for anything. Is it in anyway wrong to start a second band with this other kid I know who is an amazing drummer and take my current band's bassist with me?

The Pit has no sense of community, friendship/fellowship, or even fun any more. So the regulars of other forums have to make do with what they can; an official thread for discussion. Check out Punk's Community Thread, or Pop-Punk's Discussion Thread. Alt/Indie is less obvious, but the same concept is disguised in the Expanding Your Horizons or What I've Been Digging.. stickies. Even the Admin forum has occasional bursts of conversation. R&M has just been slow to catch on; a thread like this is needed.

It started off as a joke and now it is a way of spotting who is tr00 and n3cr0 - you know that members of The Baphomet Horde (note: capitalisation is compulsory) know their stuff.
To join you have to answer the following easy questions:
What colour was the split 10" that Morbid Angel released with SlaughterLord?
What band did Thomas Lindberg play bass and sing for prior to joining At The Gates?
Which band displayed their displeasure with their record company by releasing an album entitled "Fcuk Peaceville"?
Which record company was founded by the bass player of legendary grindcore merchants Extreme Noise Terror?
How many bands has Hellhammer been drummer for?
Which two European singers were approached by Morbid Angel to replace David Vincent?
Which song by a legendary Swiss band did Sepultura butcher?
Which Brazilian band was a huge influence on all Norwegian black metal bands and released an album entitled INRI?
Actually all you need to do is a) be into extreme metal and b) nick Legion's avatar and change your title to "The Baphomet Horde"
But I'd still be interested to see who can know's the answers to those q's

Hey, you're right! I'm losing to Paranoiddd by.......
pwned.
I just got back from a night of heavy drinking and smoking. We had a cottage up at the beach and there was a cottage of 8 irish chicks across the street from us.
Unfortunately they were all fat and ugly, so we just smoked more weed.
Good time.

Too true, I have gotten horrible about doing projects. I usually do term papers in one all nighter.

I gave up caring (as in actually getting stressed) about school and deadlines and things around the end of year 7. Any essays or projects that need doing, get done when they actually need doing (the night before, usually), not three weeks in advance. I haven't revised, more than just the morning of the exam/test, since the year 6 exams. It's great, I'm the most relaxed person I know.

I'm pumped for school this year. Video. First year our school has it and the teacher is technology illiterate. That means music videos everyday.

I failed the Second Semester Geometry final. The teacher knew I was trying hard to get a good grade, so he passed me with a D.
My mom and dad didn't like it. Sadly, I spent 6 weeks making it up, but I pulled it off with B. I'm not great at math, and my parents knew it. They said it was because I was lazy...
I think it was partially true, but I kind of blame them for not taking the message on getting me a tutor earlier.

F math. English class, I can get 90's. Math, I fold.
I think math is pointless. Music is a much more acceptable universal language :D

I also dislike Shakespeare's style. It sucks, because everyone (in my school, anyway) thinks you're just too low-brow to "get" it. He's the one who's crap, not me.

Shakespeare is like Led Zeppelin. Kids who are trying to be "cool" think he's "gay". He's easily the most well-known writer of plays, most of the plays he writes were orignally written by someone else, and the average high school kid thinks he's stupid just because his work's from a long time ago.
