the game is great, i only played the first two levels and i was OMFG.
The dual wield kicks more *** than the one on Halo 2, but as its a mainstream sell-out game, you can use like a pistol and a machine gun, making for some unrealistic experiences.
But you need to hands for the rocket launcher and M16 which is ok.
you see bond die! He falls out of a helicopter, then it falls on top of him.

It's pretty much however you choose to. I'm basing mine off of people that make meaningful posts and help out in R&M, whether they come in once a week, are on 12 hours a day, or retired over a year ago.

Riva

If they post people who don't come into R&M we kick them off the bowling team.

Er, I'd imagine they'd be told to correct it, and if they don't, void it.

Well 40 got a pretty big victory.

So here it is: We do the top 40 R&Mers: You can vote your top 20, ranked from 1-20.
You can only vote for people that post in R&M, past, present, frequent, semi-frequent, sometimes (but they better have amazing posts...)

The Ring made me almost piss myself. I had nightmares after the scene with the TV...but the worst is watching it again and seeing all the subtle, fast scenes that you don't notice the first time around, like the girl that dies at the beginning of the movie...hiding in the closet all deformed and dead, I can just imagine the terror she felt as she died...man, gotta be the scariest PG-13 movie of all time.

Thanks, I guess. Last night, I was actually wondering if we should exclude the mods from the poll. Like, they can still make their own lists of who they think is great, but not be included on other people's. Just thought there might be too much of a bias, because they're always in R&M users minds, if you see what I mean. More so than other users, anyway.

Meh, I'm at ASU :)

I should never be in debt even once I'm out of grad school if all things happen like they should.

Meh, my friend and I are both black belts, so it is a little embarassing to be honest, but we didn't feel much like actually fighting it when they doubled us in number and sorta seemed to hint at concealed weapons (probably a threat, but not worth it to find out). Dragonforce are nowhere near the best band. In fact their stuff is so simple and catchy, that's what makes it great, but after a while it's just bland and boring.

Cheater.

I prefer a Floyd or Zep CD to Dragonforce's, but they are definitely up there.

GnR is certainly not the best, how dare you

eh, just a personal favorite. Not really on topic though, most poeple still don't consider gnr classic rock yet.

The best MXer threads are in the Pit, Dargon. You should find it pretty close to or on the front page.

Hooray for spot #201!!!!!!

And zepfan, you DID make it to the top 100. #57 if I remember. You whore.

If I had to make a comparison of Dragonforce, I would say Maiden, which probably isn't the best comparison, but meh. AIM me and I can send you a song or the CD to try it out?

Ohh yeah, I want to know how Dragonforce is simple too? The rhythm maybe, but the solos?

You should check 'em out, Power metal at it's finest

Meh, power metal is a bit different from most other modern metal genres. They're like the Arnold Schwarzeneggars and fantasy geeks of metal all rolled into one, with some bellowing and loudness for good measure.

That's a gross oversimplification, but I believe you'll find that in at least one band's case(Manowar!) it's pretty accurate.

ok, what exactly is power metal--is it pretty much like mainstream heavy metal or what? (I know stupid question probably)

DragonForce = SIMPLE?! HOW!
The solos are not, but the riffs are absolutely as simple as it gets. Ultra simple chord progressions, one note quickly picked for a bit before switching to another note, totally predictable choruses... of course, you do have the point of the ultra tech solos.

That's what I would say, but I am not the one to make the comparisons, but the melodies in it certainly strike me as Maiden esque :)

I have one gripe with the general Maiden-fan party line, though: why exactly does everyone on the planet seem to think Bruce Dickinson is the best singer to ever grace metal music with his presence? I mean, he fits the music perfectly, but very often what other people call "operatic acrobatics" just sounds like vibratoed bellowing to me.

That's just what they look like and have lyrics about.

Power Metal is the counterpart of death/black metal; instead of being heavy, atonal, and morbid, it's melodic and happy. Solos are essential to power metal. That's about it.
