I never really got into FF. Not much for RPG, unless they're MMORPG, but I'm cutting down on the time I spend in front of a screen playing games, just because it tends to consume all of your time. All of last summer I played AOC every day, don't wanna get into another one of those cycles.

You don't need any new RPGs, you just need Fallout. Seriously, go buy Fallout 1 and 2, and they should keep you occupied for many moons.

Alright, one night done, another night to go. Was a pretty cool show tho. I felt like I was in Slipknot when I played in my mask lastnight. Anyway, you guys be careful about clicking links tonight, some people are planning a spam attack. I won't be here so hopefully 3078675309 or Super will be in here helping out tonight. If no mods are in here go to the report problem users thread in Site and report it.

Haha, when I was at Cornell, there was this ridiculous hill between the dining hall I was eating at and the dorms I was staying in, I hate big hills. I think all colleges are devoid of decent metal, it has something to do with rap being more popular and selling better. Check out the big CD shops off campus, they have a slightly better selection here at least. Lots of nice gigs come through here though, too bad I have no car :(

x_x that sucks

I did some research on Sanatorium. There a death metal band according to the Metal Observer.

I finally got a Triple XXX from Peavey, and with the combo of my Schecter C-1 XXX w/ the EMGs in it, I get a crunchy rhythm even on Crunch, and the ultra is perfect for Kreator and Testament.

To say the least, the cleans on the Triple XXX are much better than any other amp except a Fender (since Fender amps PWN other amp clean channels).

Overall, I'm borrowing this one as a token of apology from the dealer I ordered the head from since it is taking too long. I was going to ask if I can keep this combo in exchange instead of having to get the head and cab, in which I just found out according ot my dad would be overkil on our budget. I'm sure Rob would be nice enough to let us purchase this amp in place of the head, and he can keep the head on the floor for demo and display.

zepfan - it's not just campus that has a lack of metal, I'm talking about the whole of Leeds. I've only found (and bought) one decently priced, worth-owning metal CD in my six weeks here, compared to thirty-odd non-metal CDs.

Strange..I went to a costume party last night..I was so wiped out when I got home. It was pretty cool though, a live band is always fun to watch. They had a **** good lead guitarist. I talked toe the bassist a bit, I'm jealous of his rig. It was kinda strange talking to him cause he was in costume..and his costume was a school girl. It was awkward, but he was a cool dude. They played a lot of older stuff, and did a good job with it, except you couldn't hear the rythm guitarist over the bassist and lead guitar. He didn't play half of the time, just did vocals mostly.

I love The Oddysey. A lot.

I know it isn't really a classic, but has anyone read "The Silmilarion" by Tolkien? The first part, with the world being created by a symphony of music, is really mindblowing.

I've already got Crime and Punishment, War and Peace, Don Quixote, De Profundis/The Ballad of Reading Gaol (Oscar Wilde) and The Prince (Machiavelli) for a tenner..I love it. Almost makes up for the complete lack of decent metal.

Yeah, it's pretty hard-going sometimes as well, but that's not surprising considering it's a tactical treatise for a Renaissance ruler, not a novel. It does have some great examples in it though (like Agathocles).

The Iliad wasn't as well written, I thought. But I love mythology, so it is all good. Seeing as you do Philosophy, Bartender, have you read Sophie's World? The storyline is a bit weak, but some of the concepts are really interesting.

Man, listen to this ****. We played a show Friday night. Everything was killer, large crowd, all the music was right on, the load in went perfect, no sound issues, just a great show. We made an *** load of money too. Well, we have another show Saturday night. Same kinda build up, everything should be perfect again. Well, Saturday about 11 am (show starts at 8) our guitarists girlfriend calls my bass player and says that our guitarist quit the band.

Well, he didnt call us, didnt even try. We call him non-stop and he won't answer. He has done **** like this to other bands in the past, just decide to quit and not say anything to anyone, just quit showing up. Needless to say I was ****in furious. Well, he has had issues with his hearing and tinnitus. When we finally got in touch with him (we had to literally corner his vehicle to talk to him) he said he was quitting over the tinnitus thing.

The tinnitus thing is a good reason to leave the band, no doubt about it. I am pissed about the way he handled his exodus. If you play with people for as long as we have and you consider them friends the least you can do is talk to everyone. There is no doubt in my mind if his girlfriend hadnt called us we would have all been sitting there, in front of the crowd, waiting to start.

So, were looking for a guitarist, gonna start holding auditions soon. We have a TON to offer too so I guess we can be picky. Check out www.stagefrightband.com for the ad.

Anyway, if I seem bitchy thats the reason.......

hahaha thanks guys, its gonna be a pain in the ***. We cancelled everything for next month so we can audition and then work with whom we pick. The guy we had was phenominal, Im not kiddin when I say this, he is probably one of the best unfound guitar players. He has alot of personal issues that probably kept him from being discovered.

Its gonna be tough to find someone to replace him. The other tough thing is going to be weeding through all the people who want to audition, its going to be a mess...

Anyway, ya said you were playin Halo, man, I can't wait till the 9th. H2 is gonna rule. Some guys at work have been downloading it so I may actually get to play it tomm. I'm interested in mythology, so I decided to check out some sites about the Seraphim, Bartender. A lot of them are pure religious nonsense, but a few of them have some usable data.

Metatron is the scribe or archivist of Heaven. He is the first angel to sit between the 6th and 7th level of Heaven. He is also said to be the greatest magician of the angels.
(He also has another 100 names that are meant to be him.)

Gabriel is the messenger of God. He is the voice who speaks to many of the people in the Bible, including informing Mary and Joseph of Mary's pregnancy.

Michael is the general of God's armies. He is the one credited with the destruction of the Assyrian army. He is also the angel of retribution. He is also the Angel of Sunday.

Raphael is the angel of Death. He is the one who brought down Sodom and Gomorrah (sp?)

Lucifer was the angel of Music, but was cast out of Heaven. His new name, Satan, is more of a job description. (Satan means adversary)

There are seven of them, but I can't remember the names of the top of my head, and I can't remember the sites I visited because they are all mixed up and I had to glean little bits of info from one and then a bit more from another.

You do realize Kerry isn't that much better?

If Americans really wanted a true leader, then maybe they'd vote for someone who wasn't rich to begin with. Someone who wasn't pampered all his life, someone who actually suffered/suffers. Of course Nader isn't up to this quota, but he beats the hell out of any president we've had in the past 100 years.

I'm Arab-American for the record.

That's cool, but really my biggest problem with Bush is his frequent and blatant mix of religion in government (ex: Gay marriage, abortion, stem-cell research, Iraq). I think Kerry will be much better policy wise about this. I feel Bush has no regard for our constitution in this regard, because he violates the first amendment like it doesn't exist.

I am Latino-American for the record.

I would vote for Kerry, but I am only 16.

I am tired of Bush's policies, and I'm tired of being part of the world's bully country.

I'm Scottish-Welsh-Swedish-Norwegian-Austrian-German American, btw.

As long as there is no single religion, there is no way for world unity. Basically, the only way for unity now is scientific proof of one religion, and mass extermination of everyone who was wrong, because few would willingly convert. That is my opinion.

Well a lot of that goes against what I'd learned/heard/thought, but thanks. I'll have a look at that site tomorrow, it's getting too late right now.

Yeah, well all the sites I went to had conflicting reports. Some said Archangels and Seraphim were one and the same, others said that Gabriel was the highest ranked, other Michael.

Also, Judaism, Catholicism, Protestants, Islam etc all place the angels at different ranks.

Hey Paranoidd, I like the latest entry in the blog. The funniest thing I find about the World series is that it is played completely on U.S. soil by U.S. teams, and yet they call the winner the World Champions. Just shows how self-important America can be at times. :p

Well, not just that, I'd also been told that it was the Omnitron who was the scribe/archivist, and the Metatron who was the voice.

At least one site places Michael as Prince of the Seraphim (the highest choir), while at least one other places him, despite being God's general, etc, as a member of the last and lowest (9th) choir, simplay called "angels". An angel of the people, I suppose. Yet another has said that he's in fact not only the highest ranked of the Seraphim, but highest ranked of pretty much everyone, placed above more or less everything except God.

It's all really interesting, but really confusing at the same time.
