Anyone ever send random e-mails to Blair just out of anger? I send some completely random one like a week ago saying "The Tool album comes out in October so update the site". Basically the only reason I sent it was so he can give some type of information out about the album. He replies with this:

"I'm pretty sure I'll know when it comes out, and it won't be October, What
makes you think that you or any other source would know more than the band,
their manager, and those writing for the band's official website? We'll post
the release date when there is one, but as of yet, there isn't, probably
because they're still recording! ~ BMB"

So than I apologize even though I'm just ****ing with him the whole time. I than ask why he keeps talking about sausages during the recording and what •••-••--•-- means. He responds with this:

"It was my way of giving those interested the name of the engineer/producer
of the CD that's being recorded... a certain Joe... without mentioning his
full name (while the contract was still being negociated). No problems about
the wrong release date, but trust me when I say that the guys are working
hard and I will keep posting any info that I can, including, of course, a
release date.

Kind regards,
BMB"

I'm not even sure if he was referring to the sausage talk or what •••-••--•-- means.

Probably, Eminem 'cusses' most people. His later stuff is just whining about how much he loves his daughter and how he hates the popular world.

Same in every way.

I listened to Aenima today, and realized just how awesome Jimmy is.

Jimmy has to be the worst real song on that album for me. That and Hooker with a Penis are the only one's i'd skip if i'm not in the mood on Ænima.

I heard a very low quality live version of it. I wasn't too impressed, but i'd have to hear a better quality version.

Tool and TMV would be interesting. Though from what i've heard of TMV live, their singer sucks ***. He spends most of his time dancing around and spinning his mic stand around rather than singing, and when he does he sounds so undisciplined, out of tune and out of key. Collaberation? Lets share the vocals between Maynard and Mikeal Åkerfeldt, split the guitar 2 ways, with Adam and Peter Lindgren while we keep Justin on bass (Mendez is cool, but Chancellor is better) and split percussion between Lopez and Carey. :D

Could you imagine the live performance if there was one?

Comically, yes.

MJK would hide at the back, while Zack goes metal at the front.

Danny would drum away like his normal beasty self, while <insert RATM drummer name> would stop halfway through, from either heart attack, or in awe.

Justin and Brad would be arguing over the age old pick vs finger argument, and would turn up their basses so loud, Paul D'armour (sitting bitterly in the front row) would poop himself.

Adam and Tom would blow a fuse with all their effect pedals, then they'll probably go and watch Star Trek together.

Actually no, Mendez is a good bassist, but he rarely shows it any of his songs because I believe Mike said that he prefers simple bass in Opeth. Chancellor on the other hand, shows his skill all the time with brilliant melodies, (The Grudge, Disposition) sweet effect riffs (The Patient) and the catchiest thing ever (Schism).

I did also find a part with what looks like fan art.....the Catholic preist picture was funny.

I'm now at a droning part where you put the cursor on a certain spot and you hear a drum part.

I'm not sure whether or not this has been mentioned already in the 619 pages of Tool stuff, but has any one else noticed that there are really 69 total tracks on the Undertow album? and after the 10th track Disgustipated it keeps on skipping till it hits track 69 where its only purcusion and Maynard singing "This is nessicery, life feeds on life." I know its Maynard's style to leave subtle things but what is the whole meaning and purpose of that?

"Life feeds on life."

69 is a sexual position where both partners simultaniously give each other oral stimulation. He's being funny. Life, feeding on life.

Laugh.

Dissectional is awesome, I've spent a lot of time exploring it, but I've got two problem spots.

The first is when you see the eye that is spinning (the Aenima eye). I can grab the eyeball but I don't know what to do with it to get past it.

The second problem is in that page where you see the four symbols, and for some reason, when I click on one of them, I hear some music playing, then my computer crashes.

Me to, but for the eye ball part just press tab and it'll highlight a spot for you to click to advance. Tab is your best friend when going through the dissectional

How is that Tool is so highly praised? They've made three cd's over about 10 years. They seem pretty lazy to me. Unless there's a good reason it took so long. I dunno I just can't seem to get into them, on one song I heard, the singer sounded like a young woman.

I think it's because they make quality music. It's good music. Just because they don't release an album every year doesn't mean it isn't good.

I'll have to try the Tab thing on Dissectional.

yea I know, but there musicians. There job is to make music... not make one cd wait 6 years and make another. What are they doing for those six years? From 1963 to 1970 The Beatles released at least one album a year, and pretty much every album they've made is considered great. I just think there slacking. Anything over four years for an active band/musician is too long.

They spend that time making quality music, instead of releasing tons of crappy material, it's all good material.

And the Beatles have nothing to do with Tool, sorry.

They aren't slacking. They are taking their time.

In those six years, the members keep themselves busy. Maynard has A Perfect Circle, Danny has VOLTO! and Pygmy Love Circus, Adam has a wife, and Justin runs a store in LA.

They are taking their time to make great music.

End of discussion.
