Maybe just evolution? As he gets older, his voice changes :x

I haven't really noticed that big a change in voice, but it happens to quite a few vocalists, like Hetfield. He sounds nothing like he did in the early days.
I doubt drugs would be to blame for Dave's voice changing.

I don't think it's changed much at all. It's stayed pretty much the same, and if anything he's got better at singing.

Does anyone know whats going on with the David Elison/ Dave Mustaine thiing?
Happy
03-18-2006, 03:47 AM
Dave Ellefson apparently sued Mustaine for $18,000,000. Mustaine won I think. Then, Mustaine got an order on Ellefson not to use the Megadeth logo ever or appear beside it. Mustaine found an advertisement of Ellefson in a guitar magazine saying "ex-MEGADETH" so Mustaine sued.
But I hear now they're cool with each other.

I think Devildriver will be on it. They have been alluding to it, Devildriver that is, in recent interviews. I am curious as to who they will get to co-headline. It would be sweet to have Dream Theater again, or Opeth, or Avenged Sevenfold. If they got Avenged Sevenfold, the tour would do amazingly well, but I don't see it happening :(.

Looking Down the Cross has been my favorite Megadeth song for a while now too.
I swear Looking Down The Cross has the same 'breakdown' riff as Metallica's Ride The Lightning.
I have, I think the remastered version of this song (I downloaded the album individually, so I could have songs from different versions), where his vocals are actually pretty good. It is also one of my favourite Megadeth songs (Although, I still think the whole album So far, So Good, So What... is Megadeth's best).

I'm listening to that song right now. I'll have to listen to RTL right after to compare.
I'm not a huge fan of So Far, So Good, So What...
EDIT: Okay so I'm at the slow breakdowny part around 2:40 of RTL and I really don't see similarity, I'm waiting for it to continue on.

Dave basically is the only member of the band. His actions are dumb in that video though. Like the gun hands thing.
Rattlehead
03-26-2006, 07:02 AM
Dave is the only consistant member, but without the others there is no music. the system has failed is a great album, and, obviously, it is nothing without the music, of which Dave is NOT the soul creator.

the whole thing is that Dave wanted to ditch the record company but he owed them 1 more cd. He changed his solo record to a band record. He was through w/ Megadeth and MD.45 and wanted to pursue a solo career. But he enjoyed Playing as Megadeth so much that he reformed megadeth w/ the drovers and Macdonough(now it's J-Lo) and in Arsenal it shows u the part when he says that Megadeth will continue.
