Nostalgia joined MX in Oct 2004. He resides in Washington State (MX, 2007). He has 11,735 posts on MX forums, the vast majority of which are in R&M (Riva, 2007). He regularly contributes to a variety of threads, including as the various incarnations of the Black Metal, Any Other Death Heads? and Folk/Viking Metal threads. This essay aims to investigate the posting habits of Nostalgia and determine whether he is fit for a larger avatar.

In the Report Problems/Ask Questions/Make Suggestions thread he has over 450 posts. This implies he has done his fair share of problem reporting (Riva, 2007). I don't get the name change deal, all it does is cause confusion and hassles mods. i am the robots has been a regular poster in R&M since his inception as 'Eleventeen' in Autumn '04. In addition to numerous threads on the topic of Korn, he also has a significant amount of posts in the Black Metal Thread. This suggests he is eclectic, a fan of a large variety of music.

This wonderful man joined MX in Oct 2004. He's the most prominent Bree-Lander to post on MX. He has mad posts on MX forums, majorly in R&M. He regularly contributes to a variety of threads, including Metalcore, Black Metal, Any Other Death Heads? and Opeth. This would be an essay petitioning for a larger avatar, based very much on Jason's original essay.

robots has 525 posts in the Metalcore thread and 656 in the Any Other Death Heads? thread. Clearly a large contributor to some major threads. The top posters of the thread are, in general, not scene fags. This suggests that he is a "deathcore" queer.

In the common event of recommendation threads, i am the robots has a tendency to compile a large list, oftentimes the same exact list he posted the previous week. This would suggest he likes poopty metalcore and emo garbage, as well as generic death metal.

In conclusion, it can be seen that i am the robots is at least a decent contributor to R&M and MX as a whole, and at least has been here for a while... besides he already has a large avatar.

While Hbp knows that his spelling skillz are that of an oversized Baboon, he is working on them, and is currently attending Angmar's Skool ov Spelling Nd Grammar 4 times a week, working to improve them. No longer will misspelling be a problem for Hbp!

It's tough to say what you're getting at here. Do you want Riva to be more like you ('to forgive and forget') despite his 'selfless modding of R&M?' It's hard to label someone as unselfish while chastising him by saying that R&M has questioned his modding, which is obviously not the case. If you're going to make statements like that, you need to use citations, which will see to it that you actually have to... you know, cite what you're writing.

It's tough to say what you're getting at here. Do you want Riva to be more like you ('to forgive and forget') despite his 'selfless modding of R&M?' It's hard to label someone as unselfish while chastising him by saying that R&M has questioned his modding, which is obviously not the case. If you're going to make statements like that, you need to use citations, which will see to it that you actually have to... you know, cite what you're writing.

I can only speak towards one thread that I post in a lot, and since that thread has little credibility anyway (The Black Metal Thread), I doubt it constitutes a solid basis. I do think that mods coming into that thread and provoking people like Dargon and Totenkrieg is not what they should do though. It just makes the threads standards go down by showing other people that spam/tangent arguments are alright, and even encourages them to do the same, instead of getting things back on track. I think if some mods want to use threads they don't care for as threads to spam up, then they should rather just not post in those threads at all.
