Yeah, I love the way it was recorded.. It's like good old D-beat but in Hi-Fi

If you wanna be all anarchy and "apocolyptic"
do the following:

Give your guitar to a poor child in Africa who will actually appreciate it
Go back to your house
Lock all doors
Seal all windows
Make a bunch of pounds of homemade explosives
Set them off, killing yourself so ****tards like yourself can be erased off the planet for being so pathetic.

Anarchy is for confused punks, get into straight edge, be nice to people, it makes you feel good. Killing people makes humanity look stupid. Think about it. God made us. He is testing us to see if humanity is fit for existence, and idiot bands that support violence make us look unfit for survival.

If you don't wanna kill youself, then burn all your anarchists/apoc albums and vow to never purchase one again. I am into hardcore and stuff, but that crap your talking about is rubbish. Get a life. None of those bands would do anything if the world's economic and social ladders collapsed, they go into their rooma and cry/or use the anarchists cookbook to try to make explosives and do it wrong and kill themselves. I'm sure 99.9% of those posers cant even shoot a gun. Get a clue will you please?

I found a grey hoodie in the free clothes box at Gilman, so Chris Clavin busted out the screen printing stuff and we printed me a free Ghost Mice hoodie. Cool.

Also, preceeding the show, I had an awesome day of record shopping, buying hemp stuff off of hippies who run booths on Telegraph Ave, and eating vegan pizza at Lanesplitters.

Haha, you guys are characters.

We had our first full-band practice today since adding our second guitarist. We made one new song, and it's immensely better than our old stuff. Imagine a Dystopia style intro, into a song that's like a mix of heavy Converge stuff, Kylesa, and Tragedy. We've taken pretty good use of the dual guitars. Once we get like three songs done, we're going actually into the studio to get a good-quality demo done. I'll post a link to them here later when we do record. Amaurëa is a whole step above what Doves Lie Dead was, musically and creatively.

And I'm definintely down for a mailing list. How would it work though? Everyone has to YSI an album and email it to someone who would then send a mass email to everyone on the list I guess.

I got some webspace we can host stuff with. 5120 MB storage to music, and 50120 MB bandwidth a month for people to download. Not a ridiculous amount, but should suit our list fine. If we need an album hosted, just lemme know what album. I might already have it, and if not, you could send it to me to put up. Also, I can set up an email from my server space, so that we don't have to worry about a mass email site's bandwidth restrictions. I'll look around in the control panel, and see if it supports mailing lists.

Update: My server supports mailing lists, and I can do it without too much trouble.

That's cool, though, dude. You can do most any album, just choose out of the ones you do have. And you don't have to contribute every time. If you have it on vinyl or something, just tell me what album to put up, and I'll do it for you.

If we come up with a name, I'll start making the actual mailing list message. Then, we'll just have to come up with content, and it's good.

Does anyone know when the new Dystopia drops?
"--- The final DYSTOPIA LP/CD is now looking at being released in early 2007. The recording was finished in November of 2005 at Tim Green's LOUDER STUDIOS and has finally been sent off for mastering. It's just a matter of finishing up all the artwork.. which is taking forever as we're all super busy these days (well, maybe not Todd, but you know..) What more can i say.. other than we suck. Best drummers. Any opinions? After seeing Jon Karel of TN12LLY soloing by himself before TN12 played, he's got my vote. He can like blast with one hand and the high hat's foot pedal and do a rolling fill across the toms with the other. He's ****in' insane. Also, both of Kylesa's drummers are great, and the fact that they play to harmoniously in tandem put them up there, too.
